3000k vs 3500k Vero 29 full cycle?

I personally dont think the Crees are worth it for me.
90CAD vs 35CAD and efficiency is quite close. Id much rather slight wattage increase than to pay those prices.
many years to recoup those costs.
Have herd that people like the bud under 3000k more. What do you like specifically against the 3500k?
My sativa leaning seems to be a bit less leafy but that is just me replacing my back right corner 4 3500's with 3k's. I went from 8 veros 3k run at 100w each to 16 3590's 3500 run at 50w each. The back right corner of 3k's seems to be my favorite color. ymmv

Good to know.

You'll be able to find information in it in the forum. It should be very easy to find since it's relatively well known that more red's in the spectrum cause the plants to stretch more. Sorry I don't post pictures. I have done 2 runs with COBS so far and have definitely noticed closer node spacing vs. an HPS. I didn't post the comment hoping to be doubted. Just more so to add my input since I'm currently using it and have already seen the results. Also you stated that you were running it in BOTH veg and flower. You would have more stretching in the flowering stage and have less compact bud sites.

Good luck!
Not doubting, I just have never seen the serious stretch people speak about when referring to lower CCT.
I ditched all my MH bulbs when I ran HPS as I seen much better growth with the HPS over MH.
See a few people on here run 3000k full run and say the veg is on par with 3500k.
No doubting, just alot of 'stoner science" around forums.
I dont need pictures mate.

The vero cobs emit a different wavelength spectrum than the crees. For the vero's the 4k is more like the 3500k which gives a balance of blue and reds. In flowering you need more blue light. Therefore it would be more on which aspect you would think you need to focus on more. The veg duration or the flowering cycle. If you believe the the veg would create a better foundation, thus producing better buds, go for it. I just read the comment as balancing both cycles.

I have been hearing some good things at the lower CCT.
You vegging under them as well? You seen any serious stretch and hows the node spacing?
no im still veggin under t5.yes a lil more stretch from these, which i wanted.most of my strains are already short,i dont need my lights to make them shorter.its one thing i dont like about the 3500k,makes real short plants which i believe may actually hurt my yields a bit.we shall see i guess lol

Yeah Im looking for slight stretch as well.
Ill post up a journal from start to finish once I get the lights built. Wanna see the node spacing in veg and in seedlings.

Greetings,
About to pickup a bunch of Vero 29 for a few tents I have.

I seen a post and spoke to a guy who got 12oz more with a 3000k over a 3500k same strain, same clones, just differant CCT.

My main question is I am going to be vegging and flowering under these.

What temp is best?

Would like some facts as well.
I see 90% of grows are with 3500k, but the extra weight is tempting to pickup the 3000k.
Anyone else experience this?

Regards, Trippy
I would go with 3000k and 2700k Cree but what do I know.

Hy there, could U help me with decision to make: 2700k (CB) CXB3590-0000- 000R0HCB27G or 3500k newest gen DB which is over 2k lumens more so it makes a difrence. I had alredy some 3500k and 3000k 50/50 but want add something for flo, was leaning toward add some reds with 2700 or 3000k but when I check the diference in lumens... I'm not shure if it's a sens to go with lower k? (and to find spectrum of 2700k compared to 3000k and 3500k it's also imposible...
I find that 3000k have few percent (5%?10%?) more reds and also 2000 lumens less so at the end of day mayby it will be equal in reds only 3000k will have less blue and green?

This is a really old thread. But I would just go with 3000k or 3500k 90cri.
