3rd harvest, getting good at it. Critique, advice, adjustments?

Allright, so im quite baked and scrolling thru this site.
Ive gotten so much helpfull information from here, that i would like to share my experiences no homo.

Heres some pix of my grow room.
A mix of Afghan Kush and double bubble berry (with a few other random feminized seeds that the website gave for free)
These plants are about 10 weeks old, and have been budding for about 3 days now.
I decided to post this thread to actually see them grow n keep a log.

Its 6 plants per container, and an extra one in the middle of the room.
Got 12 clones in the small vegging room almost done rooting.

I dont do anything crazy, luckily the house has a built in extraction system in each room. It has 2 vents, an a/c and extractor that gives my room great ventiliation.

Got 2 fans for stem strength by air resistance, and have another fan that constantly points to the ballast to keep them cool.

Regular eclipse brand curtain, with a simple 6$ curtain rod that i got from walmart to seal room from light completely.


U can even use this method to conceal the light coming from the room if you dont want your guests to find out your little secret. Just get a twin draft guard (some shit that slides under your door for insulation purposes, but also covers the light due to its design) and its like if the room had al the lights off.

I tarped up the whole room because there is carpet under.

And ohhhh, how can i forget the setuppp???
I bought rubbermaid containers, pretty large as you can see.
What i did was get a semi powertool, and made circles the size of the pots that i was going to use on the tops of the containers, as you cans see in the picture.


This method allows you to keep your grow room clean, because all the water with nuts is kept inside the container.
Thats why I made 2 holes on the side of the container, one for long plastic tubing to go thru, and another for the electric cord of a small pump to be connected to the wall.
You can get the pump and tubing at lowes or home depot.
Make sure the tubing fits the pump tightly.

So I place the small pump that is attatched to the plastic tubing inside the container and it pumps all the leftover water that drips down the pots into the container. This water can be pumped
into a nearby window allowing feeding to become much less complicated and much cleaner.

I use regular sinsi grow for vegging
conossuier for vegging
along with carbo load, and enzymes every now and then.
I also use epsom salt every other feeding, this corrects mg defficiancy and nutrient lock,also and young leaves to grow green n not yellowish.

I also started using dry ice method to create co2 in my grow rooom. Its like steroids for plants.

Dry ice is essentially frozen co2.
When dry ice metls, it gives off co2 as a bi product.
And canibis loves co2.
increase the co2, increase growth.
Done very simple: get 2-3 lbs of dry ice at local publix store. DRY ICE. Ask them.
make sure u get garden gloves, you cant touch dry ice because it will burn you #ironic
Take a pot of boiling water, set it in the middle of the grow room and put the dry ice in. You wil see immediately the release of co2 thru the melting of the ice.
Please open windows and ventiliate when done, too much co2 can kill u.


Thats about it, cant think of anything else. Any tips to make my operation better? have a question on my method? any reply is appretiated.

On the dry ice:
It is co2, what is released is the solid form of co2 being converted back into a gas. You really should devise a different method of delivering it though, as your way is very inefficient. Plants need to be in a constant supply of co2, not just a quick blast here and there, otherwise you don't get the benefit. The best way (though still very inefficient compared to tanks/generators) is to get a decent cooler and poke holes in the top of it, put the chunk of dry ice inside and let it slowly evaporate. That will give you a much more controlled release, and it will be safer as well. Also, you need to boost nutrient levels when using co2 and raise your temps. Good luck.

ive heard that using co2 allows u to have higher temps without the negatives ...

u dont have to raise ur temps if u use co2 do u ???

You do if you want the full benefit of using elevated levels. Otherwise just raise your levels to around 500ppm and call it good. It will amount to the same thing.

Yea your right, but it definitely beats no co2 at all. I didnt want to buy any tanks because although efficient, I do not want to put any type of hazard in my grow room. I know co2 is not flammable but im ot too comfortable with tanks. Maybe after a year of growing I will fell more comfortable.
As for the nuts,how much of a boost?
Ive always started them with half the serving it recomends on the bottle, and build up to a full serving tolerance.
Also, you the temps need to be raised, I was actually thinking of lowering the temp?
I want to try the "cooler temperatures cooler colors" theory
in which dropping the temp will encourage purple pigment on buds.
The cooler idea for the dry ice is a much better idea. I think im going to leave a few lbs in a container, and continue with the rapid melting one as well.
What do you think about this?

How big is your space? I strongly recommend against the rapid evap thing, you just can't control it in any way, and you're effectively throwing that money out the window. If you want to use co2, you need to completely understand how it works, otherwise it will cause you more problems than benefit. It raises plant metabolism, and all other variables/needs have to be increased as well. To process that much (1000+ppm) they need to have a higher ambient temp, preferably around 80-85 during lights on.

You achieve the color effect by dropping your night time temps, not the day temps. Still, you don't want more than a 15 degree difference between night/day temps in any case.
