3rd Try: Lemon Skunk by GH fem. PC Box Grow

Hello again, delinquent comrades. I have been trying to get a successful grow since last fall. The first one burned and died due to my inexperience with the lights. The second one died due to lack of attention because my grow box was offsite and I couldn't visit often enough.

This go around I've got:
PC Planter from Sunlight Solutions - I wasn't able to control anything last time so I bought a plug-n-play system.
1 Gallon Hydro tub w/ 2 - 3inch net pots.
Moon Dust for the Nutes.
Ona Block for the Smell
One feminized Lemon Skunk by GreenHouse Seed Co.

The light schedule has been 12/12 from seed and it seems to be working fine. She is 3 weeks old. There is a light skunk smell but no lemon yet. I've started some LST with some yarn yesterday. I'm going to pull her down further than she is, I'm just adding more strings over the course of the week. I don't want to stress her into producing balls.

I pulled down the top main node. When it grows again, I will tie it further to the left. (photo) and attach the main node to the unused net pot. I hope this helps it use all the space in the TINY box.

I think 526ppm is working for me right now, any thoughts? I plan to up it to around 650-700 in two weeks.

The temperature is hanging right below 80 degrees F while the light is on. I don't know if this is okay or not. It's probably a little late to be asking that 3 weeks into the grow, but I would like some input on the proper temps. I have 1 pc fan going in and one going out.

I have tied down some fan leaves. She hasn't had too much development over the last 10 days or so. The power went down and she had 2 partial light cycles in a row. I think we are back on track. I've changed the res as I will be leaving for 4 days. PPM is just over 700. Ph is 6. I hope you can tell what I'm doing from the attached photos. I included a couple of macros so you can see the minor development of the nodes.

I'm with you buddy, I don't grow in soil so I don't know anything about hydro schedules, but you could google your fertilizer's brand name and find their schedule online.

What kind of bulb are you using? Wattage? Colorspectrum/Kelvin Rating?
No matter what anybody tells you, don't cut off a single leaf.
What I would do, is locate the bottom 3-4 nodes, and cut off the baby branches as they appear. But leave the large leaves of course.
The rest of the nodes will start recieving energy that was going to go to those branches, and will bulk up faster.
These will make good use of the light bulb so they are left.

Get us some Lights on pictures.
Do you have an exhaust fan to blow hot air out of the box?
Do you have an intake fan to replace the air? Aim this at your plant to blow it around, wind in nature encourages the plant to build more "stiff cellulose" to protect it from the weather. Stiff cellulose makes a plant stronger.
Keep the temperatures at 65*F-85*F at all times, if it goes below these for a small amount of time they will be fine.
Take your temperature at multiple levels of the plant's height. Canopy readings, midgrowth readings, tree trunk readings.

Changing light schedules back and forth will stress her into a hermphrodite. But since it was only a couple nights you might be okay.

Use sharp, sterilized blades for all your cuts.

Yo man i like the fact that i finally found someone else who is growing hydroponically with a DWC in a PC case.however there are a few tips i would like to share though.

You need to start your lst really early if you want a big yield, Check out my grow in my sig. Look at how short and bushy my plant is, Thats what you want in a pc grow!

Also you should be topping your plant

your plant looks great though, but you might run outta space, if i were you i would top like the first few nodes down, and use it as a clone. That would solve your hight problem and give you another plant! just LST the FUCK OUTTA THEM!!!!

keep the lights closer also, it will discourage stretching.

Also, your a probably going to have to flower soon, YOUR GONNA RUN OUTTA ROOM!!! plants usually triple in size while flowering :]

32 days? from the pictures they look kinda stretchy.
either way it will be a nice harvest cause the lemon strains are just a treat no matter how much you got

and it's now 10/22/2011.
That's 15 weeks @ 12/12 from seed.

End of story.

Sorry I bailed on this grow. I had some housing problems and it died in transit. I still haven't had a successful grow, but I'm much closer on this one.

I switched to an autoflowering seed because it's easy for someone who doesn't want to put in the work. I'm still using that same ol' moon dust which I found out works pretty good for veg, but not that great for flowering.

I still have 4 fem Lemon Skunks left. And I do want to try another but I'd like to get some smoke because I'm just not going to pay Sixty bucks for some shit that has an acceptable high, but looks more dried out than a tumble weed.
