3'x4' veg.room

Just bought a 150 watt sun system,for my 3'x4' veggie room (old tiled shower in basement)hps 150 watt bulb=16,000 lumens.The reason I picked this lite is because of space.Will this lite be enough good growth? Should I add another one.Have a bigger room,4x7x7,for flower.This is my first lite,hav'nt opened it yet.Just got mylar up and doors on. All new ball game (inside)for me,but am an avid out gardener.Am 64 yrs young,so don't believe that can't teach an old dog new tricks story thanks tri-panic

And how many plants you planning on running on a 150 watt light?

One plant typlically needs 7,000 lumens minimum

150watt hps would be fine for your mother plant w/ seedlings/clones

"OK" Wishful thinking,leads to bad math.I took the 150 hps lite back. The 3x4 room is fine for clones,the last 72 hrs,drying.---- The 4x6x7 room, I put a 600 hps lite for veg. Am hoping to put 15 plants in veg.---If I add a third room, 4x6x7, what lite might one suggest for this room for flower and why? THANKS

For vegi, use a mh.
For flowering, use a hps.
Has to deal with each light not putting out the full color spectrum. Just goin make it simple here lol, Mh puts out blue, hps puts out yellowish. Plants love mh in vegi and hps in flower

Remember when you put your plants in flowering expect them to grow 2 to 3 times more. So don't put trees into your 4x6x7 room lol.

600hps = 85,000 lumens, will do the job for 15 plants. 4x6x7 is to big of an area for one 600. 15 plants can be put in a 4x4, remember you need the lights as close to the plants as possible, you can't have the light 4 feet above to give light to all the plants if they're spread far apart. Per ever foot the light travels from your bulb to the plant it drops done by a factor of 10.
