and 4/23 comes afterward, which is a friday, friday, got to get down on friday.

everybody is looking forward to the weekend.

the only question is: which seat can i take?

edit: after some reflection, it appears 4/23 is not a friday. nonetheless, my point stands that it is compulsory to get down on friday, as everybody is looking forward to the weekend. partying, partying, yeah.

we we we we so excited.

"gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal"

i do believe rebecca black is talking about two separate things here, not one.

although some of the kiddies may interpret this statement as "i must have a bowl of cereal", i do believe, in all fairness to the "artist", that her words are meant to describe the insatiable desire to get high and then consume cereal.

this is a phenomenon about which any true representative of our community would attest.

judge for yourself...

I'm with this guy. I got tricked into watching it and I left the room after 15 seconds.
i have been fortunate enough to not hear anything more than 15 seconds, and never by will. I got lucky and heard that this was the worst song ever before I heard the song so I just decided that if people are going to cause this much of an uproar about a song being so bad then I'm not even going to listen to it.

I refuse to watch, but I will agree that she is talking about getting high. Who doesn't like to get high before they eat their cereal?
we are onto something here.

rebecca black, who was only 13 when she sang "friday", most likely did not get high at such a young and tender age. however, we lack the ability to verify the veracity of this claim, as no drug tests are available from that time.

at least, there are none that i know of.

however, we do know that this song was written not by one rebecca black, but rather by patrice wilson.

now, have you a look at this 'patrice wilson' character. ladies and gentleman, you tell me, does it look like he would enjoy a toke?

Patrice_Wilson_Friday.jpg

i submit this to the stoner court as exhibit A.

now, be prepared to observe exhibit B. first, some back story....

patrice wilson, by his own confession, admits to having been awake late on a thursday night composing song lyrics. his perception of time being altered, did not realize that it had passed midnight, thus becoming FRIDAY.

Patrice Wilson said:
"I wrote the lyrics on a Thursday night going into a Friday," he said. "I was writing different songs all night and was like, 'Wow, I've been up a long time and it's Friday.' And I was like, wow, it is Friday!"
ladies and gentlemen of the stoner jury, i submit to you that altered perception of time is a direct result of smoking marijuana.

now, for exhibit C.

Patrice Wilson said:
Gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal
imagine yourself at midnight on a thursday, writing songs. as exhibit B shows, he was writing all sorts of different songs, as if he was having trouble paying attention to anything in particular, dazing off, if you may. likely had a bowl by his side the whole time.

then, he gets the midnight munchies.

and then he decides: "it's friday. gotta have my bowl, gotta eat cereal"

and, as exhibit D clearly shows, this makes sense according to normal times of cereal consumption.

ladies and gentlemen of the stoner jury, you must realize by now that this lyric was composed by a stoner-looking dude, being "creative" late at night, scattered between songs, with an altered perception of time. upon realizing it was midnight, the first thing he thought to write down was "gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal".

this is what we KNOW. these are the FACTS.

until someone else presents a better case to counter my testimony, i rest.

i feel no better explanation can be given, and it coincides exactly with the meaning i pondered.

perhaps i know too much.
