4 weeks into flowering. Small buds...

Hello

I'm growing 5 white widow plants that I got as clones. They have been under 12/12 light for around 4 weeks now and flower growth seems pretty slow. I'm growing in 3 gallon buckets, soil. I've been following the recommended dosage of the non-organic fertilizer and using tap water. I've grown white widow a couple of times before (a few years back) and gotten decent results, but this time around it just seems to be going slower than I remember. I've had my share of hickups this time. The first 2 1/2 weeks of flowering they were undre a 400 watt metal halide and in a smaller tent (3'x5') before I moved them to a 4'9"x4'9" growlab tent with a 1000 dimmable metal halide that I gradually turned up from 600 watts to 1000. about a week ago, the lights got left on for longer than 12 hours because I was messing around with the light timer and must have goofed something up. Anyways, here are some current photo's of the current buds. Do they look normal for 4 weeks flowering or are they looking kinda whimpy? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry, but this plant doesn't look well at all. You got serious problems bro, those aren't buds, those are pistils, and this plant got overfeeded, or overwatered, or heat stressed, or PH blocked, or all together. After 4 weeks 12/12 this is terrible. Sorry for telling this.

While your plants dont look 100% with white widow in my personal experience...it stays really small until the last few weeks where it blows up and also emds up very dense.

good luck

securedownload-86.jpgYou are watering too often.

What your ph going in and coming out?

Temps?

looking closer'those are quite a bit behind but that could be from them being unhealthy. This is what my current run looks like at 19 days.

Light leaks? No way, unless the light immediately outside the grow area is the sun.

Not necessarily over-watering either- depends on your grow medium. I water every 25 minutes BUT, my media is fast draining.

Could be high temps/humidity, which I only resolved a week ago tomorrow: buds are now literally exploding

Yeah, I was thinking it might be light leaks, so yesterday I hung some curtains around the tent to provide some extra protection from possible light leaking. The tents are in a separate room with lights off, but from time to time I have to pass through the room and light peeks in. Could be over fertilizing, as I don't have a ppm meter? I try to water when the containers feel like they are light. Should I try flushing with straight water next time? Temps are in the mid to high 70's I believe.

Depending on how mature they were befor you switched to 12/12 the first few weeks they are adjusting to the light schedule and stretching they should begin to show more signs of flower soon, they do look like they have a little to much nitrogen witch will also slow flowering

In that case, I'd put money on it being a pH issue. Those plants just don't look happy... what nutes are you giving them and how much?

That plant is most definitely not OK. Whoever thinks it is shouldn't be posting advice.

It looks so sickly that its hard to determine what it is specifically. Something is/was definitely off either in its environment or in its feeding/watering.

At this point I dont think she will recover and produce quality buds.

Keep track of what you feed the plant and when, note problems when they first appear. Determine causes and treat accordingly. Flushing is almost always a bad idea. At least wait until you understand what went wrong and why before you try anything. I suppose there is little that could make it worse at this point aside from cutting it down.

E-Gadz! I just PH tested my water after adding nutes. 5.1! So I PH'd up to 6.8 and I'll keep my fingers crossed that this will help. I'm not really sure if it's too little too late. I'll test the water that drains off and see where it's at. I'll also water less often as well. uh, crap.

That's sounds like the problem to me your PH was f*cked, Keep us posted and good luck
