400 watt Halide...and how high?

ok,

room is 3X2X5, have a 400 watt warm halide bulb unit, and 150 watt HPS. I am torn at the hanging height......i read closer is better as long as heat is not an issue.....with saying that.....how high from the floor to hang the 400?

you dont hang it far from floor, hang it from tops the plants try 2ft.above plant tops, put hand on top plants if it too hot for your hand raise up some more ya kno.

well, the reason i brought this up was because its hanging to where its comfortable to my hand....BUT the plants seem still a bit heat stressed...curling a bit downward....right now they are at 18" from top of plants BUT thinking of raising it higher to see if that helps...so guess my real question is HOW high can i hang it to where i wont lose my yield
