The temp is getting up to the mid 80's which ive been told is a little high. So i set up a fan but im not sure if i should have it pointing more at the plants or more towards the ceiling to get the air flow in the room moving more? Or any other ideas on how i can drop the temp a little? Also how much space can a 400 watt cover? i have 4 plants thats taking up about a 1 and 1/2 by 2 ft. space and seems to be doing alright but its only been a day or two since i switched over from cfls so its hard to tell if its working.

Have the fan blowing the air in between the lights and the tops of the plants.
bingo... you want to make an 'air curtain' between the plants and the lights, convection should handle the heat after that. just pay attention to your watering sched if your having high temps because your plants will transpire more moisture, so you need to replace it... bongsmilie
