400w hps directly attached to extremely low temps safe??

I have a 400w hps attached to a cooltube fixture. The 6" ducting is connected on one end to a hole in my box, out and connected to an outlet fan. I recently came across an air conditioner and thought I was going to never have to worry about this fkin temp problem anymore. Anyway I cut my ducting in two and attached the xtra end from the air conditioner to a hole on the bottom of the box and it would drop to like 62degrees. If I kept it this way, I would have to find a timer that turned off and on every fifteen minutes. Plus my plants would be subject to extreme climate changes from like 90degrees to 64 degree change every fifteen or so min.! Now that I had to raise my fixture up due to the plants growth, more air needs to be cooled so if I leave the air conditioner on all night it will stay around the low 70s. Hoever I just got my electric bill this month and lets just say that I cannot afford literally hundreds of dollars for electricity!

Anyways I just connected both ends together. One end of the cooltube to the air conditioner and the other is connected to the 6" ducting outlet fan. The fan has to work harder to get the air through, will it stress and break or are ducting fans good for this?

Also, will the 400w hps bulb stress or break (or blowup) if its connected to direct air conditioning?

Any thoughts on how to successfully connect a regular air conditioner to a cooltube system that goes anywere from 90+ w/out the air conditioner to about 64- with it.

Any remedies?
Any thoughts appreciated.

Besides the cool tube do you have any other ventilation? I run my 400w hps in a small closet (about 9 sq.ft. at most) all day with no problems even when temps are +30c or higher outside. I don't have a cool tube, personally don't like them. I have exhaust fan, intake fan, and a oscillating fan, that's all i need to keep my temp in the acceptable area. The closet is also seal up all the time except for the exhaust and intake fans of course.

no just the conditioner and the outtake. Im primarily concerned if bulbs will burst inna cooltube if the air is too cool rushing by it.
