400w hps light?

I will have 4 plants all together in a closet thats 2foot by 8foot wide the question is do u think a 400w hps setup with about 7 27w cfls would be enough?

I dont think you'd need the cfls to be honest

400watt is enough, cfls will just get in the way. Unless you don't mind moving them around, doesn't hurt to have more light. Personally I'd just go with the hps and use the cfls just to get seedlings going.

2 x 8 floorspace? 400w is said to cover a 3 x 3 I think.

wouldnt really cover it the most efficiently there would be dark spots towards the edges. if you had a light mover its doable. but i would say either x2 400w or x2 250w IMHO

is that 2ft high? If so there will far too much heat for that space from a 400w.. also to get the width 2 250's would be best..

Put the HPS in the middle and use the CFLs on both ends... you will be fine
