400w hps

i figuar i couldnt get a round not aleast a 400w hps wasent much more then the 125w or 250w so i got 400w.i was wondering if i could use the 400w from start to finish

You might want to consider getting a metal halide conversion bulb for veg. During that time your plants need more blue light, as opposed to your HPS's reddish/yellow light. You could still get by with the HPS all the way through, though.

i want grow ak-47 and white widow but sense i spent my money on the light i guess im going to use some realy good midgrade till iget some good shit.oh how long yall thing it will take to grow fully im also useing a ebb and flow system to grow and desent nutes to

u want decent size plants? Like 12in?
A good 4weeks veg
7-9weeks flower
A good 3months maybe a lil over.

Is it my light or does a mh produce way more heat and brightness than a hps of the same watts!

Should they both have the same effect when you look at them like the same intensity/brightness?

Reason why is my hps puts out way less heat and brightness i can stare at it, but not my mh.both are 400watt,
