48 dark before going 12/12

I heard that some people give their plants a 48 darkness before switching to 12/12 and that it cuts flowering time by a week.
Is this true?,
is there any benefit to a light break?

i do mine 192 hours and knock 4 weeks off the flowering

I have heard this as well.
DrGreenthumb seeds kinda says to do this on some of his strains to get his advertised flower time?
But Ive never tried it.

I tried the 48 hrs dark period on my lil Cronic clones I just put into flowering...

i always did 24 but it sounds like a good idea..

putting them in 48 hours dark just kick starts flowering, its not going to make flowering quicker, however cutting light at end of grow does speed things up........
