4th Week Flowering

heyas all,

first of all here is my post with pics from last week (3rd week flowing) everything looking good so far:

Now I'm at 4 weeks and the plants are looking very odd to me, let me restate, my tops are looking very odd to me. You can see for yourself. the leaves are VERY broad, and the top most buds pistils seem to be going away. The lower level buds are very frosty (so are the tops) and also the tops smell STANK! yay! but the leaves and the lack of cones are really worrying me. Any, tips advice or otherwise are always appreciated.

It does a little, I just don't have enough experience to tell whether this will be a hermie or not.

Not sure what strain you have or what you have over its head but here is a pic of mine at 4 weeks. PurpleKush under 1000. I think for now it is safe to RDWHABH.

if it means anything i see no signs of pollen sacks only pistils, oh it's a clone as well....although I do realize a female CAN turn into a hermie during it's lifetime, I hope not, I'd be devastated :-\

I am running Recirculating DWC feeding them 24/7. I don't think yours look that far behind mine and think that you'll see some neat looking changes in the next week. They look real healthy. Now they just have to do their thing. I take it that you did switch to some Bloom food right?

also the guy who gave me clone looked at the pics and said they definitely look healthy but the buds aren't looking as big as his, then again he's growing 20+ plants under a 1000w HPS hydroponics, and like I said above I have one plant in soil, under a 250w MH hood.

The light is going to make a difference. 1000 watts provides as much energy to 1 sq meter as the sun so 250 covers 1/4 sq meter with the same energy.

yeah more light the better and also HPS is better than MH for flowering, I just don't get why all of a sudden the top leaves look so weird, i realize the buds are going to be smaller since it's less light, but should I start seeing cones by 4 weeks or at least the beginning of the cones? are those weird looking leaves fine? trichromes all over the place btw

I think you'll start to see them this week. I didn't notice any glands until the other day on mine either. They are budding and are going to continue to.

oh! also, at all the bud sites are leaves that are curled under with a crap ton of trichs, not sure if that means anything either. very small leaves curling under the pistils.
