4th week of bud first time grow

3x exodus cheese ......Hiya im in my 4th week of bud just wondered if anybody has any tips from this stage on e.g how to increase thc or products to use to increase bud size!

Any pics? Size? What nute regiment? What kind of lighting?

Perfecting the environment for the flower phase to the best of your ability is the basics. Steady light cycles and no light leaks. Keep the temperature steady, lights out temp drop is not a requirement as some people seem to believe, latest research shows that having the same temperature 24/7 is optimal. CO2 levels of 1200-1500 with higher temps of around 85 degrees can increase both yield and potency. Make sure you feed them plenty without overfeeding them. They will be thirsty too, my 30 plants right now drink 5-8 gallons a night in hydro. And try not to stress them at all.

Some advanced growing techniques can be applied as well. Get some UV lights - don't leave them on all day but rather blast your plants for 15-20 minute periods several times a day. That will force them to produce more trichrome to protect themselves. Also, you can get some Red spectrum LEDs with 660nm frequency to supplement your grow lights. That frequency has shown to increase THC production as well. If you really wanna get the absolute most out of your grow, about a few weeks before projected harvest time put your grow into 24 hour daylight for one week - that will force the plants back into veg and make them produce new bud sites without stretching much, then put them back to 12/12 (48 hours of darkness at the switch can help them go into flower quicker) and that will increase your yield a bit as well.

There are many techniques - you gotta figure out the ones that work best for you and your plants. Good luck.

How many weeks of bud do you think is suffice and when in that period do you think imshould give then a full week of daylight?

I can attest to the LED\UV results Kana speaks of I have been growing with LED for over a year (7 band UV included)
and I'll be honest the stuff i grow is better then what i find in the market for purchase (well not all but you know what i mean)
I am pretty sure i could grow some regs and get some primo bud
I am going to try that 24 hours for a week thing (thanks Kana)

There is a number of high quality LEDs you can look into but generally speaking - you will get what you pay for. Chinese knockoffs cost significantly less but don't work very well. If you're just supplementing you 600W HPS light, you could just get the Red spectrum lights. Things to look for are diodes being at least 3W - otherwise the light is not intense enough to make a difference. For my grow I use one 1000W Flower HPS, two 350W Diamond Series XMLs and several 12W bulbs of 660nm Red LEDs.

Some good brands of LEDs I would recommend are Diamond Series XML (150W or 350W), 189X-Pro, SolarStorm, Magnum Plus2, Black Dog and Area51. These have been used successfully by many growers and you can read their reviews on the web. I can only attest to the DS XMLs so far.
