with 25 gallon resevoir,rockwool + fiber pots. various seeds from the single seed center. + clones from friends in soil under 1000 watts MH. I was wondering if I should top off the resevoir with nutes every other 2 days? using a water+water+feed topping the resevoir off formula, anyone have suggestions?

Top up with third to half strength. Change res every 10 days or so (you can let the res run a bit low the last 3 days to save on nutes). Do you have an ec meter? that will help you get a feel for how strong you need to make your top up mix. It changes at different stages of growth and with different strains.

Do your self a favor, this is not suppose to be that much work.
1) Get yourself a 40 or 50 gallon rez. That way you get at least 5 days between refills. This is important! If you have to top off ever other day, it makes it very difficult to track PH and EC, also this cuts down on the time you have to spend tending. If your always tending, your not learning to read the plant.
2) Water when the rockwool cubes get light. For me this is once every other day. Once a day for me was too much and the plants started to lighten up. After 3 or 4 runs you should be getting a feel for how long to let the cubes dry out.
3) Keep the rez at 5.8 ph and about 1.2 EC and go from there.

I'm in the same boat.4x4table 75 plants single colas 40 gal Rex. I add 20 gals every 3 days or so. That's it she runs herself.
