4x8 grow tent need help T5s

hey im new to the grow world and im trying to put together a 4x8 grow tent
im using a bubble bucket system and was originally going to put in 2 600 watt cool tube lights but i just think my light bill will be way to high for me so as an alternative i wanna try to use T5 lights but i wanna know how many panels i will need to sufficiently light my 4x8 tent wich will hold 8 bubble buckets ?

you're forgiven. however i'm not sure the amount of t5 that you would need for that space would be any cheaper on the bill than the 1200w of hps. it all varies by brand, but my system for example has 6 4ft long tubes and uses about 350w. in your case you would probably need the 8 tube fixtures (around 400w each). 3 of those systems wouldn't cover all of your space and you would already be at 1200w. t5 does run cooler but with that many it would probably be hotter because of the lack of an enclosed cooling system. the hps would need more fans and whatnot, but i still think in your case you would be better off with the hps. you could always get a single 1000w. besides using fewer watts the ballast would use fewer amps than the 2 600 watters. people forget to count up amps when figuring the light bill.
