4x8 tent lighting

I’m doing my first grow. I have a 4x8 gorilla tent and 1,000 watt hid lamp. I plan to grow in soil. How many plants should I be growing with that light in that space? Any help is appreciated.

1000 watt HID is probably best suited to half that space, like 4x4. What exact light is it? A DE HPS can cover a little more area, like 4x5 foot.

Number of plants you put under the light depends on veg time. You could put in a bunch of plants and veg very little or one plant and veg long or anywhere in between.
