Honestly I'm just wondering if I looks like it's growing at the right pace. It's a purple hindu kush seed.

Keep light fairly close to reduce stretch .... also 150 watt will not pull much of a plant when it begins serious growth.

I planned on buying a bigger light soon. What type of leds would you suggest?

Enough LED that'll provide 13,500k lux at soil level at that stage.

Thank you for answering. I have been adjusting the light according to the growth of the seedlings. they seem happy at the height it's at right now.

The level of lux is based on hour count. How much energy you're sending at the plant over a 18/6 cycle. The lux is lower on a 24/0 cycle. The lux is much higher on 12/12 cycle.

I've kept A day by day written journal growing with led. It's tricky until you break it down to what the Hades it is. After that. LED can put a HPS light to shame. Its all in how you use it.

Honestly my dad used HPS lights and the product was nice but i never liked the heat thr lights gave off. LEDs honestly to me seem to be the way to go to me.

I've used both. Switchable ballast. From Metal halide to high pressure sodium. 400,600,and a 1000...

Worked perfect sorta. Then LEDs come out. Big factor is safety. Fire hazard. No huge sparking bulb that degrades every three months.

I couldn't tell you the wattage on my light. All I measure is volts coming out the driver. 49-53.5 volts is a grow.

Something to remember, watt for watt heat is the same heat generated from LED as it would HPS.
