5 Plants Indoors: Time to Harvest?

There are 4 plants that I have grown this far. There are three taller Indicas and one shorter sativa. Theyre about 4 1/2 months old and have been flowering for about 2 of those months. I have included pictures of each of the 5 plants, there are about 3-4 of each. My camera sucks so my pictures are limited on detail and intensity, so bare with me on the lame pics. There is a 5 picture max, so I will post a response to my message to post the rest of the pictures directly below this message.
I need advice on when to cut the Indica and Sativa buds, as well as how to go about the harvest (such as harvesting from the top down?). Any help would be awesome, thanks.

Looks like you should let them bud a few more weeks. Looks like most of the hairs are still white.

It looks more like 1 indica and the others are sativas.Most have those long slender leaves and the height of sativas.Only 1 looked like it was showing the shorter fat leaves that indicas grow.Usually indicas will be low busy plants and sativas are the tall slender plants.Maybe its just the pictures.And yeah that need some more flower time few more weeks maybe 3 weeks

you need more light

WAIT, Be patient. You should add more lights and closer too. You're going to get PopCorn Fluff buds if you harvest now. It looks like in the pics you have CFLs, and if you do, you should put them as close as 2 or 3 inches from the buds, and the desired light comes from the sides of the bulb, not the bottom tip. Get the lights closer and buy more lights if you can afford them.
There are some 85watt Spiral CFLs at STEALTHHYDRO .com , the Dual Spectrums II are best.
You want the most yeild with the best taste and most THC and what you do now is so important, the harvesting and the curing, so BE PATIENT, and read up on it now,

However, you appear to be far enough into flower that I doubt fully formed seeds will appear in your buds.

Unfortunately, if you have other plants flowering that are only a few weeks along..you *will* have a seeded crop on those plants with that many male flower open.

You *do* need more light. 50 watts of **HID** light per square foot is optimal for most strains. Anything less and you'll get popcorn buds rather than coke can colas.

I'd say you have a good 3 weeks remaining in flower if not more. The lack of light is slowing things down, IMO. The buds look great so far but should fill out more over time if you let them go longer.

You should also harvest by looking at the trichomes...or the "crystals" of resin that look like a elongated mushroom when put under magnification..., NOT the color of the pistils (hairs). Get a 10-100 x loupe or magnifier of some sort (Radio Shack has one, ebay has the loupes) and WAIT until the trichs are about 50% amber/brown. This will signal the plant is fully ready.

Yup the second row of new pictures posted in the second picture is a full blown male who just slept wiith your mom and blew his load.

those plants are shot. fully pollenated. the males are done. you should get plenty of seeds for your next crop. did you notice it was different?
