Yo, which of these will you get more yield from....Ive only got enough room in my tent for 3 flo-gro hydro tubs which are a bit of an awkward shape, or 5 square soil tubs. Which am i gona get more from?? always used the hydro setup but i went into my growshop the other day and the man in there said i should think about totally changing the way i grow, and sack off hydro in favour of soil. So what is gona more productive then....

All I can say is what's your preference?
If you have the amount of time it takes to keep a hydro grow in shape, then do it.
If you have the know how on how soil works, and you would like 5 smaller plants then do it.

It's like me asking you if I like ice cream or popsicles.

The guy in the hydro shop would love for you to change the way you grow. He makes money off of the equipment he sells. As for the two methods, the yield per plant will be the same providing there isn't light blockage from crowding your plants together. The only advantage in hydro over soil, considering only the growth is, the hydro plants will veg much faster. The flowering time will be the same no matter what. What I would do is keep the hydro going with the three plants. Keep cutting them back during veg to get them to bush out. Then finish vegging them to the height you want before going 12/12.

Hope this helps you.

A much more enlightened and patient response.

Exactly my opinion.

Yea, I like the answer. Just tempted to go soil as it seems less effort and also seem like I can use the space in my tent better, for more yield. I got an underwhelming yeild off my last hyrdo crop and I really want as much as I can get each time I grow.

i want to try hydro, but grow in soil. it seems to me,i had to learn growing in soil, and i would lose yeild probly due to learning curves again switching to hydro.its just my thoghts.

i have five plants in hydro right now and thats only cause im still a novice at soil but pretty much all i have to do every day is make sure the water level is up to par and the ph is ok
an hour or less a day is all it takes for hydro with five plants
not too much time consuming but its worth it in the end i feel its much easier than soil
