5 X 5 Closet, how many plants?

More specifically, I have a 5 by 5 walk in closet, basically square. I have a 600 watt light with a MH bulb to veg and a HPS to flower under. I have 20 seeds northern lights. Since it's my first time, I will be using soil to get my feet wet. Does anyone have any suggestions on how many plants I will be able to grow under this setup, what size pots to use, etc. I don't think I will be doing the sog method, because I only have that number of seeds. I have no CO2 and don't intend on getting any. I have an exaust fan for the top of the closet and another small fan for down low. Should I do mylar on the walls?

i would start 3 or 4 in 12/12 till you get a female then clone her to get your feet wet
just dont start more then you can handel

Thanks for that answer, although it was a little vague. I wasn't planning on doing it that way. I was going to germinate all 20 seeds, grow them until it's time to make cuts because of sexing. Let's say I germinate 20 seeds, get lucky and have 15 females.. How many of them will I be able to keep in a space that size and what size pots should I put them in?

Dont put all your eggs in one basket, pick a couple strains, clone for sex, i have done it in as little as 4 weeks from seed then you can cram the closet full after you consider a few things, pot size which will determine plant height as well as yield(clones do fine in 1gl pots) ,figure out what veg+flower time works best for you and get it all dialed in
Dont worry its easy as pie, just read up a bit.
and...tada! Lights(5x5closet=600w) camera ,action!
search vertical set-ups also you may find it will work great with a 5x5

emergency blankets, camping dept, walmart----3 bux for 2 blankets big enough for 2 human size burritos

Just to help as much as I can, CHECK THIS THREAD and also I have a 3x3 in which i will have 9 autoflowers growing. They are smaller so I can fit more, but thats just to give whatever advise I know.

I read on that thread that I posted a link to that one guy recommended 50 watts per square foot. So you can use that math in your setup to get a more accurate number.

i've got just about the same closet space (mine's a little smaller) and also use a 600w light... currently have room for 12 plants in 3 gal. pots. i could add more, but that would be cramped... hope this helps...

Okay that is really helpful... How tall do you let those plants get before you start the flowering cycle?

how ever tall you want them to be, but remember the plants will double in size during flower

depends on strain... sativas would be put on 12/12 at about 1ft., indicas about 2ft., crosses about 2ft. this keeps the sativas from getting out of hand. i had a couple last year that got 5ft. tall and i had to cut the tops and bend the stupid things. right now i've got some 4 footers that were started at 18 inches or so...
