a girl in navy uniform just won 2 showcases and spun 2 $1.00 in a row on the wheel winning 25k for her second spin. Pretty amazing. Never saw that before.:hump:

So does she have to pay a tax for those winnings? How does that work?

hahaha yeah. its like any winnings, gambling, lottery, etc.. you lose most of it to taxes before you even see dollar one. shoulda watched that this morning instead of deadliest catch..

They don't take the taxes out right away. You can still stiff the government :)

Your supposed to pay taxes on everything you win---like cars and equipment, but who pays taxes on the cake they won from a cake walk?

Yes they have to pay taxes on their prizes. Some people sell most of the prizes to pay taxes on the one prize they want to keep.

Pretty shitty, if you win a prize it should be yours, without the government getting a bite..... greedy bastards.
