yes I know but I'm going led because in the long run it would save me money on electric
No, it will not. That is one of the single greatest misconceptions about LED is that they save you tons of money. They don't. Not yet, anyway. They're far too expensive and use nearly the same power at this point. Take the one you listed above: that's a 700 dollar fixture before you even turn it on.

Then of course you have to power it.

You can get a 1000 watt HPS fixture for 200 to 250 dollars just about anywhere. (They make some that are cheaper if you look around.)

That leaves you a 500 dollar deficit. It will take you about 8 years of constant growing to break even on the power costs.

It's simply not worth it.

With multiple 300 watt LED's, you run into the same problem: not only do they not put out the power of the 1000 watt HPS, they draw nearly 65% of the power doing it. What's more, you'll have several fixtures pounding out heat that you can't isolate and evacuate with a hood the way you can the HPS, so you're back to chasing tons of circulation, cooling, humidity issues...

LED's are cool, and people love them (for what reason I still can't figure out) but they are, by and large, a complete waste of money when it comes down to just the flat-out dollars and cents of it all. They wind up in the short and long run costing you far more money than a single HPS does.
