6 plants vs 4 plants in 4x4. Yield difference?

Considering two plans. Living soil, Mars Hydro TS3000, 4x4 scrog:

PLAN A:
4 plants in 10 gallon pots.
Veg 6 weeks.
Flower 9 weeks.

PLAN B:
6 plants in 7 gallon pots.
Veg 4 weeks.
Flower 9 weeks.

Obviously, Plan B will finish 2 weeks earlier.

But will Plan A yield more (enough to make up for the extra 2 weeks required), because the plants will be bigger and therefore (I assume) will produce larger buds?

Hoping some of you ol' pros can enlighten this semi-newbster.

You couldn’t fit 6 plants under a 4x4 scrog even if you only veg for 4 wks simply the net ain’t big enough in regard to yield between 4 & 6 plants and your suggested veg time frames they would work out roughly the same imo if I had to call it think 6 plants would produce slightly more -but so many variables hard question to answer
You would save money and time with plan b obviously hope this helps ☮

No reason to use pots that size. 5 gallons more than big enough for 4 or 6 plants in a 4x4. You can, just a waste of media Ime.

A 4 x 4 will yield the same amount no matter the number of pots. Its all about canopy area. The less veg time the more pots are needed to fill the whole area's canopy.
More plants= less veg time so more harvests per year.
Less plants = more veg time so less harvests per year.
I find 9 is a nice number in a 4 x 4 for me but some run 64 and some run 1.

But yield is based on the canopy (and genetics of cause) not on how many pots are under it.

I dont run a scrog anymore but yea, it would be a 1-2 week veg, i did a 1 week veg on this i think (from clone), 9 plants. Current grow.

Nice but the guy post states 4x4 scrog like you said you can get 64 in sog or 1 tree !

See so many posts saying scrog and it’s just plants being grown through nets or screens not scrog !

doesnt matter...more plants faster canopy- Scrog or not. I did 4 plants and it took like a month or more to fill the net- fk that. Put 9 or 12 or whatever and get more harvest per year, scrog or not.

My 4 plants from clone 7 wks veg was going to scrog but have changed my mind if I was going to scrog would need at least 5x5 net

4 plants.
I got another 2 pots so ill add them next run just wanted to try this method first.

nope, its not. i take my plants out every few days so i dont want it to full, but its pretty close.
But 5 weeks veg vs 1 weeks veg is a fair few weeks difference over the year. Ive seen u running more than 4 in ur flood and drain red rock tent

Yeah got 8 in 1 tent.
I still give em bout a month veg.
