600w footprint.. Jamming hoods up against each other?

certain light eg 600w = max 5x5 foot area.. what about the other way around? whats the smallest
footprint you can have for 600w.. everyone says to add more light.. so why is no one filling a room
full of lights and just jamming the hoods up against each other so when you look up all you see
are hoods and no ceiling?.. and one plant under each hood and all the light crossing over each
other this would be plenty more light..?

I like to light the whole space rather than a footprint when I’m using multiple lights,I find I get more uniform buds and overall a better yield and quality. The max space I’d use a 600 for would be 4x4 but really a 3x3 is about the footprint

Do you know why most people are still spreading out the lights when using multiple lights.. Wouldn't it
be better to do the 3x3 area and use a smaller space/room?.. Even the commercial grower pics the lights are'nt
too close together and the rooms are huge.
