used 24/7 light cycle until today. switched to 12/12... forums say that i shouldnt do this so it went 14/10.. decided to turn lights back on after 10 hrs. dont want them to herm.. this wont do too much dmg will it? tallest 4 lowryders are 15" shortest two are 6.5".. very healthy. thinking of just doing 18/6 from here on out. what do you think?

read a lot of articles explaining how during sleep, there is higher bud/resin production.. and because THC is a self defense mechanism, THC is actually using a lot of energy trying to protect the plant from whatever bad stuff might come along. if you dont let the thc rest, then the energy is being absorbed by the plant and the thc is constantly breaking itself down.. (ie when ppl say use 24/7 on lowryder, go ahead.. might be higher yield.. but i guarantee you that your thc crystals are going to be miniature.. shitty low grade headies high.)

In conclusion...

was thinking to myself that because i had 24/7 up until now and it is day 50 and these girls are lookin huge (shit loads of lumens does a lot work in a closet between 6 lowryders).. then maybe 12/12 will be the best because it will increase the resin production the most? and because im getting so many lumens on these girls during the time that it would be 12 on, would it make up for yield?

most of the forums ive read say 18/6... but theyre all using shitty lighting.. this on the other hand is quite a lot of food for 6 tiny girls

btw also just got 10x(ak47xnyc diesel lowlifes) n the mail today.. about to pop them into a cup. gonna transfer into 3gal when these girls are done. neone know much about this lowlife strain? i've read its new, and hopefully stable.. attitude says its mostly sativa.. is this the newest and only sativa lowryder strain that ive been hearing about lately? very excited if it is.. i was sad that i couldnt find a sativa lowryder/lowlife until i came across this

No im sorry i was high when i wrote that yes go 18/6 if they do not start to autoflower then switch to 12/12.

ha there is nothing wrong. its day 50 and i have shit loads of pistils everywhere.. some even starting to orange.. kief is being produced on inner leaves and inner bud sites. im just wondering whether or not i should go 12/12 now to enhance resin production instead of yield.. im asking if the power of my lights will make up for loss of light, while at the same time allowing for more time for bud/resin production.

It is said autos grow from age not the light cycle but you can try it out see how it works for you.

im not sure what you mean by this.. thats a very misleading statement.. what do u mean by "grow"..? there are several different factors added in if u are considering the word "grow" to mean the same thing as "get bigger"

Yes i mean get bigger.Being that they are autos they will flower without having to put them under 12/12 so i would think the extra light would make them bigger.
I do not know if they will grow more thc if done on 12/12 i have nevr grown autos before.

question still unanswered so let me rephrase.. do you think going 12/12 will make my bud significantly danker (more oils/biger crystals) in comparison to 18/6? or would the extra 4g's or whatever (that i might get for doing 18/6) outweigh the dankness?

im surprised if there is no one who can answer this.. there has to be a few people out there that have done lows on 12/12 for the last 3 weeks of flower..

maybe ill get more responses when i post pics :/

doug, if they are already flowering, then 12/12 would be better at that point.

even though its a lowryder? thats what i was thinking... regardless of the flowering cycle, once it starts, its just the same as photo.. and regardless of time, when kief starts forming, the more dark=more buds/oils.. correct?

btw cut off like 6 fan leaves from each plant when the nodes started filling up with pistils so they could get more light. still boomed. just to inform the ppl that freak out about cutting a few fan leaves off..
