So i grew for many years but i took a 1.5 yr break and im now growing again. Sold the three 1,000 watt lights and all my other grow eqiupment when i quit and bought new lights a month ago. Right now I have two brand new 600w phantom II digitial ballast but only using one at the moment. The bulb is an hps eye hortilux, not ideal for veg but they look good so far. I bought some clones from a friends friend but im sure that he bought the seeds and theyre half WW and half big bud. I have a pretty big apartment i just moved into so im still getting stuff setup.

The grow area is about 3ft wide and 6ft long. Heres another pic of the space. Ventilation is gonna be tricky but i cant leave the light on more than 6 hours at a time without shutting it down for an hour to cool down the room.

I got the other 3 plants from my friends house. He kept them in his veg room for me until I got my stuff moved into the new place.

Just transplanted them from 2.5 gal pots to 5 gal buckets. Organic soil but I use general hydro nutes.

How are your temperatures? I ran a 600w bare bulb once in a space pretty close to that size and venting it was just hell. Had to get a 400$ ac unit to keep my Temps from goin over 85. I ended up just buying a cool tube.

I am switching my water supply this Thursday. I'm gonna use Poland spring water, it's gotta be better than tap water. I need a bottle of silica and azomite. I saw a few little bugs in my soil today. I know I saw a knat flying yesterday so im gonna get some neem oil.

Just took about 14 clones. Used a clean new razor. Cut them on an angle and put into cut with about 1.25" of water. I have the lid on the clone dome right now, it was only off for the pic.

My stems were a little purple and red. I have increased the phosphorus and potassium and next time around I will start with stronger doses of nutes.

Finally bought a new light timer. Its set to turn on at 6 pm and off at 6 am. I don't like having the light on while I'm at work. They are officially on 12/12 now.

I like your avatar had a 454 chevelle once when I was in high school(1975) big blocks & even small blocks are almost extinct 600w. Hps used to be my favorite light to use

I love my 454. Its going into a 95 camaro that's gutted. Getting a newer Muncie trans for it in the spring. I loved 1,000w lights for about 10 years straight but I won't use them anymore. 600w is perfect for my setup, I have two 600w ballast but I'm only using one this time around.

I have 18 clones now. I used clonex and bought a few more clone domes for next time. Here's a crappy pic of the two clone domes stacked on each other behind the flowering plants. I need to buy two light sockets for my veg/clone box in the other room so they get the 600 hps until tomorrow.
