My soil, which I have been composting/culturing for several years, is 7.8pH, and my sprouts are not growing. I've added sulfur and peat/compost, but it only sat for a couple of weeks before I had sprouts in it. (This is indoors in a planter). I'm wondering while I'm waiting for the pH to come down if I can use acidic water when I water (5.5-6.0 maybe?) My sprouts seem to be standing still. I'm afraid of adding fert because when I prepared the soil I added blood meal (plus everything else I had on hand at the time. lol) I know you can shock the plants if you change the pH too abruptly. Any advice?
