my night temps in my new room drop to 10 degree celcius, or 50 fernehit, if these where outside wouldnt really matter, but does it slow down the flowering or something, im just wondering if there are any negatives to this,, i mean it not to hard for me to add a thermostat and a small heater, i also have a hole from my basement into my room as a sir intake i could seal off to stop the cold daft coming up into the room and just add a fan to bring in the air as my fan takes out the hot air...

anyways, any negative in 50 degree air at night... i figure might just purple up my plants a little:weed:

Mine sit around 57 at night and 78 during the day! I dont know shit but mine are doing GREAT!

Same goes for me. Around 55 to 75. Its because of the winter its chilly! Anyways, initially it will stress the plants and cause them to stunt growth. But if its continued, the plant will adjust and do fine. (possibly slow growth if its stressed still) Theres been great plants with the leave tips turn purple under the scope. (60x) Long story short its not good and its not bad. It just will probably decrease yield in the long run or cause flowering to be a little delayed due to the stunted growth.

the solution is to balance the heating budget with desired yield. I believe it would impact yield up to 10% as well as extra time (lost money in many ways)

so how would you say cheers in smoking =] :weed:

ive also found articles that support high temperature swings like this, 18 deg. The theory behind temp swings and high swings is that they produce more resin. The resin is a product of evolution, it insulates the flowers and protects them from cold temperatures. So the higher the swing the more resin.... up to a point to where you stunt it. So if your plans doing good then why adjust the temps its not stressed!
