8' Girls Gone Yellow

Hi all,

Yesterday I visited a site to apply molasses tea and got a big surprise. Yellow fan leaves near the top of the plant that was fine just 2 weeks ago. I removed most of them prior to taking pics, and as you can see the first lady looks like she's transpiring. We had record rainfall back in July, normal rainfall last month. We had no rain back in June and they never wilted. I'm going back tomorrow to water again, but there's no way a temporary lack of rain should be causing top fan leaves to turn canary yellow. Lower leaves here and there during flowering yes, but never top one's.

Any input would be appreciated, I'm at a loss here. The first pic was from 2 weeks ago, the rest from yesterday.

Hmm, no thoughts on this one?...ok...guess I'll simply water with a few nutes and hope for the best b/c I'm not going back for another month.

Can premature yellowing of leaves be caused by something other than a nutrient issue?...come on folks...need some advice here please before I go visit and treat today.

Have you been getting a lot of rain...reason I ask is I have something like what you have and it came right after lots of rain and I believe it is some type of a rot effecting weaker leaves...some fungus action....just a guess...but once I sprayed with serenade it has stopped ...but have to do it after again when it rains...rain will not stop here in the NE area...need a dry period with some heat to dry things up.....

Just the opposite, we have had almost no rain in the past 2 weeks. I should have taken the pics before I removed the yellow leaves(which were strong). They were right next 2 perfectly healthy green ones in prayer mode. We don't have too many mold issues here, at least I haven't doing these "guerrilla grows" in native soil. Outside of a temporary drought, the only other thing that might cause this would be an abrupt climate change?. We went from summer to fall in 12 hours, temps went down to about 40. I've had plants transpire when moved from indoor A/C into 90 degree heat, but never the opposite.

So, I'm stumped...lol

I just visited the site, and found more yellowing fan leaves...I'm still at a loss. All leaves surrounding flowers are fine, the ground 1" below soil line was still moist prior to watering. I added a bit of granular 10-10-10 fertilizer, figured it wouldn't hurt considering I haven't given anything but molasses tea over the past month. It's almost like an extreme version of dropping leaves in favor of reproduction. This time I left the leaves on, I'll return in a week with the digital. This strain I am very familiar with, the following pic is 4 days old...it's my own strain. I grew the seeds 2 years ago and have nothing but success with it indoors. At any rate, not much more I can do outdoors with them at this point but hope for the best:lol:

Happy Growing all!
