8x8 grow tent, with two 1000 HPS for flowering? 8 plants under each 1000 watt?

Taxes coming in soon, so want to upgrade. A couple ounces every couple months, isn't really cutting it for me considering all the time and effort. So, the two 4x4 tents I have now I plan to turn one into clone/veg tent under my T5. The second 4x4 main veg tent under 600 watt MH. 16 plants in each (kind of a tight fit, but think it should be ok for veg). Then, plan to take the 16 out of veg, once they gain some nice size, and throw them under 2 1000 watt HPS for 12/12. I will be LST'ing and topping 2-3 times during veg. My question, is to maximize yield, is this sufficient set up in your opinion? I am looking to get at least 1lb. of dry per harvest. Do I need an 8x8 for 2 1000 watt HPS and 16 plants? Or, would a smaller tent be better?

4x8 or 5x10 and 8 plants topped 3 times and trained under each light isnt gonna happen, they will be shrubs and way too big for that.
