Got these seeds from a friend of mine who is grower in Cali. It is some brainwarp at 9 weeks old and only ten inches tall. This is my first grow ever and have gained all my intelligence on the subject from this very site. I have it under a 250 watt HPS light that is kept about two feet away. I use a fish emulsion fertilizer at half strength. I was about to bud but wnted some opinons on it. SHould i let it get taller? Or just bud it now as the side shoots are just as tall as the top. Any help would be awesome. Thanks

lower the light to 12 inchs if your temps can stand it. Dont bud yet. IS it a dwarf I missed that. Feed at full strength. What is your medium? All I see is rocks.

If that is soil. You need some bacteria. Get some manure and worm castings and fish emulsion and throw all that into a 5 gallon bucket and aerate. It needs more light and more food. I have flowered wasted plants. No point.

you want to raise the lamp to get a better light spread and better penetration this will cause the plant to stretch(what you want).
if you lower the lamp it will just make the plant grow how its going(bushy).

The plant is in a potting soil, vermiculite mix with rocks on top of it. It is in a gallon pot and Its lighting schedule is 18/6 and the 250w HPS light is 24 inches away. It has already shown it sex and did so about 4 weeks ago. I give it half strength fertilizer. It is gonna be ten weeks on monday. And as far as i know it is not a dwarf. I am gonna go ahead and bud it and see what happens (since its the only one i have). Anymore help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

if it is showing preflowers then flower it now(12/12).
it will end up 2-3 times its height at the end of growth/flowering.

any tips on moving it to 12/12? such as leaving the lights off for 24 hours before hand and if i do so should the soil be moist when left under 24 hours of dark? or is this a bad idea?

I gradually changed the lite cycle a little at a time similating change of season but it isn't nesessary unless you had a finicky strain. Just shift over to 12/12 or 13 dark 11 lite for sativas. I think putting it in the dark for 24 hrs. is done to quiken up sexing.Showgirl

just switch it at a time that suits you(lights on during day or at night).
and no extended dark period before switching to 12/12.
JUST DO IT.

Your plant may have root issues which in some cases cause stunted growth and small plants overall. When they go into flowering in some instance he plant wil grow tiny tops and popcorn nuggets. So check your roots for sure.

So it has been 18 days now into flowering and it is looking great. It is now 12 inches tall and has many white hairs. Talked to my friend who got me the seeds and he said this type has a tendency to be bushy but produce very dense nugs. Ill have pictures in the next few days
