A/C Unit Question

so I'm going to use a portable dual hose AC unit to cool my 4x3x6.5 tent. I will be sitting it outside the tent with one hose going in and the exhaust up into a ceiling vent. My question is how can I get the AC unit to read the temps inside the tent while it is sitting outside. I have never used one of these before so excuse my ignorance :bigjoint:

thats a good question as most of those units have a thermostat built in the unit so there would be no way to tell. there are some kits out there that you plug into the extension cord that has a thermostat that you would place inside the hut then you plug in the unit to the external thermostat. you then turn your AC unit to the lowest setting it can go and the external thermostat will cut power to your AC unit when your temp is reached
