A Deadhead's first indoor Adventure.

So here's the deal - being very cost-conservative I am going to conduct a grow that is small and simple. I have grown outdoors for years and i just happened to run out as soon as outdoor season was over.

Items in my possession as of right now =

Seeds = Cap'n Crunch (my own strain although has always been outdoors) - some good bag seed.

Lighting = Currently only one CFL 15W 6500K 120V bulb. I don't know if its warm or cold light but I'm guessing its a full spectrum. (found the thing at my girlfriend's house )

Box = Filing cabinet (heavily modified)

Income = Around 100 dollars every week.

I believe this light will suffice for the early veg stage. I plan on buying really nice warm and cools later on. I am going to germinate when i have my grow box complete.

Things i still need =

-Fans.
-A homemade air filter (not till later will i worry about this).
-A second light fixture and 2 y-splitters.
-pH gauge
-thermometer+humidity gauge all in one (i think i can get all of these at home depot)

-Soil + Nutes

(i think i can get all of these at home depot in one trip.)

I will keep this updated very often, as i have nothing else to do on my spare time. Please post suggestions and compliments.

Day two - Beans haven't popped yet, it's been under 24 hours and i don't really expect them too anyways....

The 15w CFL burnt out (i think thats why it was in my girlfriend's kitchen drawer) - The growbox is done just need to get some kind of lightproofing for the front, but they are sliding drawers and i don't know how to lightproof this kind of thing (help/suggestion needed).

The weird looking thing on the back of the cab is just some metal defect don't worry.

I too am growing 3 plants right now and at around the same stage. The 6500k is the day light type bulb so its on the blue spectrum. I have 6 15 watts 6500k cfls and 2 42 watt red spectrum cfls. But mine havent sprouted either and im waiting anxiously even though its only been a day.

Yeah we're on the exact same page bro! Still waiting for mine to pop too..I need lights asap though my cfl burnt out that was trash anyways. I will keep everything updated every day or three.

So far i have spent exactly .:zero:. Dollars . I'm going out to get my lights tomorrow - hopefully the beans will have popped by then,

What kind of soil will you be using?
A concealed setup is always nice..Im in the process of making a big one you cant see

I'm using some soil i borrowed from the neighbors, from what i could read on the bag it said "Premium Organic" something or other....I can go back and check the bag for specs if completely necessary but it was brand new and i just opened it when they said to fill up my 5 gallon bucket.

The soil is very dense and its good shit cause they pay top dollar for their gardening shit nextdoor.

By the way, do you think i can keep them in those red cups for the duration of their lives so i can limit size? Or what can i do to make my space inhabitable comfortably by 3 indicas? (look at pics above)

No problem..I was looking for help on here too a little while ago and its great when someone else helps out
then again I am not too skilled in the art of growing
But from what it sounds like, you got some top notch soil, as I am using miracle gro since its all i can get afford lol..

Anyway..for right now, you got a pretty good setup, very discrete too..Use that for now until they outgrow it
And with the cups, you can leave them in there for approx 2 weeks, possibly less. Im pretty sure if you leave them in those their whole life, the buds produced will not be up to standards your strain can provide.
They might also die..I had my in cups like that for too long and they started drooping and lookin shitty

Oh by the way..you will DEFINITELY need more lights..what you have now will be insufficient soon enough

Yeah man definitely - i plan on getting two 65w Cools and two 80w warms, or somewhere close to that. I might do the LST method, i saw one guy's grow journal was using a space smaller than mine and he got really good results! I don't think i have any other option to grow these things at, I'm sure i can make 2 plants work in my cab from all my outdoor experience - maybe even scrog. Plus I bet i'll have at least one male.

Germination Day 2 -

Seeds are looking bloated but they haven't split yet, which i kind of hoped for because my lights still aren't in yet

ya man im with ya on this u guys lol iv got 3 cups waiting for my seeds to germ and im in a small space it might be smaller than yours but i just want one girl if all 3 are girls ill give the other 2 to my friend ..... i hope this works out for all of us

i am growing with 3 100 cfl and 3 75 cfl ran lights for 24 hrs stright for 6 weeks now are on 18/6 last 2 weeks cloned 2 babies off each all doing great

ok apparently my own strain is no more..i didnt save alot of seeds of it because i never thought i would have to resort to indoor growing and it doesn't yield as much as it should outside...i was really excited to see how the Cap'n Crunch would've done at full yield....

OK UPDATE its been a while -

Imma get some fresh bagseeds (not 3 year olds) and just have at it..I'm getting paid soon and proper lighting will be mine. This little inconvenience is just a minor one. Once i get going in soil i'll be fine.

I'M FINALLY BACK ON TRACK.

-Bought 23w Blue Light CFL's x 2
-Obtained Blueberry Kush seeds x3 - Germinating as we speak.
-Once they pop it's go time. Everything's ready.

sounds like you have a good plan and have done your homework. hope your grow goes well and you get some killer shit.
