A few questions RE ebb+flow / flood+drain

ok so im thinking of going with an ebb+flow table system. I have a couple of suposedly simple questions :

1) is there any reason that i wouldnt use coco coir in the plant pots ?

2) assuming the pots are way deeper than the table, coco coir will wick the water all the way up wont it ?

3) what watering schedule would you use with coco coir : 15 mins once a day ?

4) i assume you would water in the morning part of the light cycle ?

5) is it a good idea to put hydroton rocks around the pots in the table to take up space and therefore use less water to flood the table ?

6) my area gets very hot. Is ebb+flow as sensative to water temp as say DWC ?

7) does ebb+flow use full strength nutes like drippers or half strength like DWC ?

Thanks in advance

In a nutshell use only hydroton, line your pots with the finest wire mesh you can get and prick holes in your pots. It works brilliantly, and yes I fill my table with hydroton as well so I can have a smaller reservoir due to weght restrictions in my loft. I use full strength nutes only in the latter part of flowering. As long as water temps do not exceed 24celsius the air temps matter not.

I did not use hydroton ont he table so I could move the plants around. That is my tweeker side.

Does it make that much diference I wonder.

hydroton holds little water and has little wicking action.
I would check out the harvest every two weeks by Al B on the sticky on hydro. Very berry informative
