If you are new, I think a good lesson is to not water for a little bit. You will see that the plant looks fine long after you would have watered. Waiting to water until she wilts a bit is a good lesson for a noob. You don't want the plant to have to much water. Make those roots go searching for it - they will be bigger and stronger for it.Not yet. I wasn't sure when the right time to start that would be. Last time I grew I didn't have the right lighting and they grew tall and feeble. I think this time the stems and everything look much stronger and more stable.
As far as watering I've only done it once. the top half inch of soil is dry but its damp to fairly moist when i go down deeper. I was thinking I'd water at the end of the day or when it seems to be getting pretty dry overall. That about right?
