A question for my fellow Rollers

Hey fellow Roll it up members, I am a noob in need of an answer……errr……opinion? Is a better word? Anyway, it’s of this “Complete” Grow Kit:
http://www.canadianaquaponics.ca/complete-kit-600w-ballast-cool-tube-2pc-bulb-6-fan-filter-ducting-4x4-tent/

I only plan on having 8 or so plants, with 3 or 4 of those being Auto flower, so as to have a staggered harvest, the light times will be set for the longer growers as the autos are just along for the ride pretty much. I plan on using soil, just “easy” and “reliable” techniques kinda deal, maybe a little Low Stress Training and minimal nutrients. Eventually I want to use 100% organic ingredients, but right now I just want to get comfortable with the basics.
Would this suffice? Price seems decent to me also, I’m in Canada so shipping from the US can be expensive,
But like I said I am a newb, any advice will be appreciated.

It certainly has everything you'll need except pots and soil but in my opinion it's a bit on the spendy side.

I think if you write down all that has, then get on amazon yo can put the same thing together and save $150 plus? Look at I power lights, lights fan and filters, prices are low, and I have had mine for 4 months no problems so far.

I don't grow autos but I think there is a prob with your plan. Autos needs 18 hrs of light. Normal plants need that in veg but 12 in flower. So with one tent, you won't be able to mix Auto and Normal during flower. Or maybe I am just bakes and missing something.

yeh autoflowers will perform poorly on 12 hours of light if you put photo period plants in with it. unless your just going to veg your photo plants while you grow a couple autos just for smoke then switch the lights after harvesting the autos.

grow the auto's on 24/0
let the photo periods veg until the auto's are done
chop auto's at around 3 months then flower your photo's
you can grow them on 12/12 but i feel it would be a waste of space

Thanks for the info guys. To MircalGrow thanks for the info, but it seems that all of I powers lights are sold out. They do seem cheaper though.

As for the low riders comments the idea for those is just to have some quick smoke. I know they aren't ideal settings for them, but it would still produce under those circumstances? Even if they aren't they greatest quality. As long as its smokable LOL. Buts its just an idea maybe the space would be better used for other fullsized plants. I'm not too sure.

it will be good quality under 12/12 but the yield will dramatically be affected
1/2's compared to 2-3 oz's
just an example but its a really big increase

check out www.growtents.com free shipping for Canadians and I think you could get all that for a lot less if you buy everything individualy. ALso check out ebay and amazon they often have great deals especially Apollo lights there very nicely priced but they do come from the us

Hey everyone thanks for all the replies, as for theautoflowers I think I’m going to take the advice from Tekdc911 and the othersthat suggested growing them fully while the other plants Veg the whole time.
As for the Grow Tent, there were some good suggestionsbut, once you add a carbon filter and a cooled hood to those packages they allseem to be roughly the same price (In my mind both of these are necessary, don’twant everything setup then have heat or odor issues) I find it weird that a lotof kits don’t have a carbon filter.
I plan on ordering my Grow Tent in the next week or so, Iwant to have this set up for when I move for college in a couple weeks, thereare a couple hydroponics shop like an hour away from here, I might bring insome of the Grow Tent bundles you guys showed me and see if they can work adeal of some sort.
I am looking forward to this experience of growing andthe many conversations on the Rollitup forums. Thanks again.

I like supporting the local hydro shops....sometimes a bit more money but I like to see what I'm buying and get good service and advice....and no Canada Post or Customs to worry about...but know your online prices
