A question of potency...

I was wondering at which point in the flowering time-line do most of psychoactive properties come into play..

I have been smoking an AK48 on it's 4th and 5th week of flower and have been getting varied effects from her. Here are some facts:

• I get higher from smoking the leaves that are coated with THC, than I do from the actual dried buds
• The buds smell like some sort of Ocean Breeze mixed with sugar, kinda nice, while on the plants - but they lose alot of scent after hangng around for 4 or 5 days.
• The leaves still have a great, more spicey smell after 4 or 5 days of drying.
• the genetics claim the plant will be good to harvest in about 50 days... But I am going to let it go the full 8 weeks. I heard that usually gives it a stronger flavor and smell - while slightly decreasing the potency.
• The high I get is very much in the head, but still feels like an Indica (does that make any fuckin sense??)

The plant is very vigorous and is producing alot of buds though. Pretty nice specimen. But at what point does it start to taste and feel like real dope? The high is very strong, but very 1 dimensional - I hope that this all come together in later weeks. This is my first time growing in while - so I forgot alot of shit about the process.
