A seed and miracle grow potting soil

I got new seeds germinating, and i'm about to use miracle grow potting soil. Will this soil hurt my new baby plants?

What type of Miracle Grow? Alot of Miracle Grow potting mix has timed release nutes "if not all of it" in it, so just stick with straight water at least 4-6 weeks or when you 1st get going. Some of the Potting mix feeds plants up to 3-4 months. I guess it's safe to say Miracle Grow on this site is a Love &Hate relationship.

Ive read that the organic miracle grow is not that good. But by experience I know the regular Miracle gro potting mix is good. You may get a tad fert burn on your lower leaves early on but its nothin serious. Most important. Do not fertilize for at least 1 month. After that start a mild fert mix. U may just need to buy a flowering fert, Most important dont overwater. wait for top 2 inches of soil to be really dry. Miracle gro drains really well I find watering every other day is about the norm maybe a lil less depends on ur container size. my profile pic is of a plant using miracle gro potting mix no fertilizer just plain water , under a few walmart grow lights . Of course i grow tomatoes only now days. Im too paranoid to grow pot now, hey Im gettin old !!! but that plant in the pic was only 2 weeks old so if you like that pic go get some miracle gro and a couple a 10 dollar 24 " walmart gro lites

but what if your plant is getting too much nutes? then what? u cant water for a while?

well what if u water too much? not only do u have the water problem, but u also have all the extra nutes being released

what do people do when they burn there plants from too much nutes? they flush with water.... but guess what? you cant flush with time released soil, you will just be releasing more nutes

if its all you got, then i guess go for it, but it could be a major let down after all your work, and you start lovin you plants, then next thing u know, they all ded

shut up people use this stuff all the time thats slander just monitor it and u will be fine if thats the case my nine plants would be dead but they big ass hell see 8inches of bad biches

Nobody said it didn't work or that any plant stuck in MG will die, just that it will often have problems which you can't correct. His descriptions were all accurate.

Just monitor it and you will be fine? What because you notice the nute burn even though you can't do anything to change the problem it'll be fine just because you're monitoring it? No it'll burn and show burnt leaf tips and stunted growth. It'll probably live, the plants are tough, but it'll never be the plant it could have been in better soil and there's nothing you can do to fix it therefore just "monitoring it" is some of the dumbest advice ever.

Anyone watering pre-nuted soils every other day will soon have bigger issues to deal with than soil. One must understand osmosis to understand MG pre-nutes. Google osmocote? This is exactly what's in MGMoistureControl, anyway . . . not sure about other MG mixes.

Some strains simply burn much easier than others. Believe it or not, it's hard to burn a plant with just the pre-nuted soil. It just doesn't work that way. MG soil watering needs to be tuned in. Needing water more than once every 4-5 days, or even more, would mean time to transplant to me?

if i were you i wouldnt us MG, everytime ive grown with MG, my plants all seem to get defincencys, but do what you want, its your time that youll be wasting.

Worken with Mg organic and its really not that hard regular ph water schedule and stick to it..... if your checking on your plant it shouldnt be a problem.. noticing any issues transplant to regular soil and continue growing.. its a freaken weed after all.. there god dam hard to kill. Well unless you walk away and expect it to get no TLC... Im using Mg Organic and im not a noob but not a pro and ive had problems but worked threw them and its healthy and beautifull look for yourself.. Also just IMO but you can try multiple shit and decide what works for you the best.. then stick with the plan. .. your not just growing one plant one time your growing forever untill your the fertalizer terds rule!\\\

He might be done thinking about which soil to use.

Its hard to burn any plant with miracle grow unless u r just plain abusing the instructions or in case of premix, u r adding additional ferts. Miracle gro is a very mild fertilizer when used right as far as burning goes, and really u would almost have to be doing it on purpose. My miracle gro all purpose plant food is guaranteed not to burn if used per instructions.
