A Tale of Two Counties

On a dark and frozen evening......

My friends Cannatonic #4 plant was being stolen by a heroin addict. After being told by police repeatedly police that he was on his own, he pursued .People n things got bent n broken in two counties. Now law enforcement has something they have been trained for. My friend was arrested and charged.
In grand traverse county he was scolded and fined. In Kalkaska county he was told he is nothing more than a drug dealer. Can not be rehabilated so has no need of probation.. Bam!!! 90 days and fines.. College ?? Too Bad!! Businessman ?? Too bad you are just a drug dealer.
So there my brother sits. The addict who stole and destroyed a plant that won't get u high is still free and using. I believe the patient that plant was for has since passed.
Is this the justice %63 of Michigan voted for ?

No. But the agenda must go on. Sorry for your brother. I got ripped off last year. Is it really work the risk he took and it sounds like the danger others were put in for a plant?

That isn't justice.
And the victim is a good dude that shouldn't be sitting
in the fucking county jail!! These tweakers need to be stopped and the
police won't do anything to help.
When someone steals from you, you should be allowed to find that person and kidnap that
motherfucker and show them that being a thief is dangerous business.

He went to the police FIRST. Then handled the situation.
When the db tweaker said he got his ass beat, the police should
have said, no shit.

Maybe he should have sued in Civil Court for the return of his property. If the value is over 5k he'd need to pay a lawyer to even play that game. You just have to love our "justice system" ...

I've heard other instances about kalkaska. attitudes vary so much from city to city. hopefully soon they'll all wise up and focus on real crime while protecting victims, rather than adding insult to injury as in this instance.

that cannatonic could have gone to a patient in need, instead bam the patient/CG gets hit with big tax... now his health will suffer and becomes low on medicine all while experiencing a series of major life interruptions. dang leo trying to meet quotas and dept budgets. individual's health protections shld be the top priority imo, not makin the next bust. :-?

I believe this is literally the objective of Section 4 of MMMA brother: "4. Protections for the Medical Use of Marihuana."

"333.26424 Qualifying patient or primary caregiver; arrest, prosecution, or penalty prohibited; conditions; privilege from arrests; presumption; compensation; physician subject to arrest, prosecution, or penalty prohibited; marihuana paraphernalia; person in presence or vicinity of medical use of marihuana; registry identification issued outside of department; sale of marihuana as felony; penalty."

The problem here is that LEO's and our "Justice System's" willful violation of these clearly stated prohibitions are simply civil infractions (civil court game) with no means of enforcement/protection. For us to ever enjoy these rights ("privileges") we'll need a patient wealthy and politically connected enough to take on this "Justice System" and bring reality to a legal precedent. Catch 22: The wealthy and connected never truly face the "Justice System" as they and their team of lawyers enjoy a pass at the "prosecutorial discretion" phase of the game, if not "officer discretion" ...

How about a pak of starving caregivers n patients ?
We can vote out the weakest links. The prosecutors and judges rarely win by more than a handful of votes.
Seedpac is actively supporting anyone who wants to honor the will of the voters. And highlighting those that do not... They work for us

I'd liken that to sentiment to attending/supporting a dog fight to talk about/fight against animal cruelty: Hopeful. No individual with a clear view of the inequality of this "Justice System" would be welcome or acceptable in that club. They would literally be eaten/thrown in jail for contempt of the game :( In the end you cannot beat them by joining them, you just become one of them ;)

Maybe take those efforts to educating the public on the inequality of said "Justice System" and it's players :bigjoint: Like all of these exploited political systems, only exposing them to day light will disinfect ...
