wondering if anyone has seen this before and knows what it is?

its only one one new growth on 1/6 plants. at first it looks like pest damage, but after some research i'm thinking possibly boron deficiency (from pH or under/overwater?) or just genetic weirdness? but i dunno ive never seen this i'm still pretty new.

pro-mix hp-m
h&g aqua flakes
under 4000k cobs, 200w @ 24"
40%RH 75F
water once every 3-4 days when pot is light, 20% run off, feed, water, water
plants have been treated with Safer insecticidal soap + seaweed

the fans and new growth never grew to a normal shape. so its not as if they were normal leaves and then something took a bite out of em. they grew like this.

any input welcome. thanks in advance. pics of full plants in my journal in link below

My Guess is Light too close and low RH.
Maybe try to water a bit less often as well (every 3-4 days seems a bit too often for such small plants in big pots )

I've got to say, I'm not sure if you've a deficiency problem here. I mean, yes the new growth is weird and distorted, but I'm not seeing discoloration. I wouldn't do anything drastic, let them keep on keeping on. I've had leaves come out all distorted, almost like they've been chomped on by a cat or an animal, but it never amounted to any trouble or a symptom of a bigger problem. I'm betting they'll grow out of it :) Is it an autoflowering strain, by chance?

That was my first impression maybe something was munching on it, maybe a mouse?

It's always possible. The only reason I knew that mine weren't critters or animals was because I had mine in a sealed off tent. That's the only reason I say that it may not be bite marks, otherwise I'd be voting on animal bite marks.

thanks. overwatering could def be a factor. maybe roots are unhappy.

its not an auto. its original glue fem from nirvana. i'm hoping they'll grow out of it too. nothing drastic just lightly reducing feed/light for now

yeah thats what i thought too but i don't think its possible. tent is sealed up tight in a bedroom, not a garage or anything. sprayed for insects.
