About led lights, yield, and splitting rooms.

Here is the dilemna:

I have currently 4 Hans panels (3x80 + 1x65) in a 4x4 flowering tent that Im using for small plants and 1 A51 XGS 190 + 1x65 Hans panel panel in another 4x4 flowering tent wich I plan to use for bigger plants. My question is: would I benefit from putting all the panels in the same tent? Will my yield be bigger with one or two tents? Isnt 1 XGS + 5 Hans a bit of overkill for such a small space?

Id say you should be fine with all of them in there. Youll get your best yield and results. Maybe consider doin a SOG?

But with LEDs the more the merrier. with any light really but LEDs especially.

Looks like about 500w of LEDs which is perfect for a 4x4. Ive got 600w of LEDs im about to start up in my 4x4 once i take clones and let em recover.

Ok, so not overkill then, thanx for the answer. I was thinking 2 flowering tents with different timings would be the best option yield wise, but if the benefits will be higher under the same sun... then lets go for it.

Maybe get a smaller veg tent with a t5 or a longer panel and do a perpetual?

Since you have so many panels you can put them at different heights so half the flower could be one month and the other half another month.

I think the most productive setup is one veg room and 2 flowering rooms. You get a yield every month and because the flowering rooms can be setup on a flip flop it helps keep heat under control so you can run more wattage. You can connect all the tents with large passive air ducts and dump the flowering room heat into the veg room. Put the carbon filter in the veg room and it will keep negative pressure in all the rooms.

The only tricky part is watching out for light leaks. Large openings are required for passive air flow so a system like this requires true females for the most part because there will be a very slight glow no matter what you do. Another option is to use a carbon filter in each room. You can make your own filters using bath fans or mixed vent fans.

That is the initial plan running at the moment, but Im more interested in big yields than running a perpetual setup tbh, and if the yields are big enough, then no need to run a perpetual like I originally planned to do, or to stay home for long periods of time, etc etc. Thats why Im hesitating on concentrating the lights in one tent vs splitting them between 2 4x4 areas.

Ha, just saw your reply now. I have already connected the rooms together, and I run them syncronized & daytime so no light leaks problems. Thats what I wanted to do (2 flower tents + 1 veg), mainly because I can put 12 x 3gal pots under the 4xHans and 9 others under the XGS, wich makes 21 total, and that makes 5 more than if I put all the lights in the same 4x4 tent (16 x 3gal max). I guess the fact of putting all lights in one tent is less beneficial than an harvest of 5 more plants? Or not necessary? Im talking only yield wise...
