About new strains called "Balochistan" #1,#2,#3,#4

Does anyone have experience with this strains? I have. They do not germinate but they are expensive. 150 Euros for 10 regular seeds. I bought them from ACE -Seeds, a Spanish breeder. They gave me a guarantee for germination within 2 years by themselves. After I told them, that nothing germinated, they say: Please complain in India by the people from ILE. I never contract with them. I am not crasy and would never had send 150 Euro to India. May be the people of ILE are children. Beware of contracting with ACE seeds, they are kidding their customers and wants to cheat them.

I got ILE Balochistan 4 from seedsforme, and had great germination. Got a bunch from theseedsource, and not one germinated. Maybe there's different batches, some being good, others being bad... who knows... if Ace isn't going to give you replacements, then email ILE and ask for some... they probably won't give you any, but it's worth trying.

Alternatively, TLT has an Iranian Balochi (as opposed to ILE's Pakistani), that is less sweet and very skunk like. ILE's is more fruity and sweet perfume in smell... TLT's is all oldschool dank.

Thanks for answering, SFnone. May be seeds are natural products and some of them do not germinate. But the breeder has to replace if all seeds do not'. Breeding is a botanical profession, not a criminal job. Don't like the perception of some people, especially if they waste my money.

This is always a risk when you purchase landrace seeds that were collected from the source. Ace is just the distributor, they didn't grow those seeds themselves. There are things you can do to improve the germination rate of seeds, such as soaking for 12 hours in a diluted hydrogen peroxide solution-I use the regular 3% h2o2 and measure out 30 ml of it, then mix that into 500 ml water. I'm not sure what method you used to germinate them, but skip any paper towel pre-germ methods and just plant them direct to media, keep warm-80 deg F is perfect, mild light 24/7, and keep moist not wet. Wait, so ACE said they guaranteed germination (for 2 years from purchase)? If so, I'd go back to them and point out their germination policy. If a merchant says they're guaranteeing the product they sell will work and it doesn't, then it seems to me it's on them to replace the product and take it up with the producer themselves. If not, what's the value of their germination policy?

If I'm misunderstanding and ACE wasn't who promised germination, then go ahead and contact Indian Landrace Exchange.

Yes, only ACE guarantees 2 years within germination, no other persons, they gave this guarantee on a card with the correct day of sending the seeds to me. I have only business contact to ACE and I 've paid the money to them. So it's on them to replace the seeds or the money. But they say I must contact people in India. When I have a look at their evaluation from customers in Europe they seems to be serious. They replace surely seeds if a pupil or student have bought seeds for 10 or 20 Euros. But if you paid a few hundred Euros they do not give this money back or replace cause they are clever in a special way. So it is important for serious growers to know this. Especially traders in Spain are often black sheeps, a few of them take your money and than you never will hear of them again. They can afford this behaviour cause the purchases are not legal, so you cannot take proceedings against them. However, I believe the Balochistans are interesting and good strains if someone gets suitable seeds.
