AC Infinity Controller 67 users?

Hey all / looking for others that run an AC Infinity fan running on their Controller 67

First off, I love this thing - thedegree if control you can get with the automations is great, the app is among the best Ive seen in this market.

Really curious to know how people have theirs set in conjunction with other enviro controllers (I run inkbirds for temp/humidity/CO2) - I have been running the fan with automations set to trigger fan ON when high temp and humidity limits are hit, then shut off when the enviro gets back on point. The trick is to get the inkbirds and fan controller ‘in sync’ so they aren’t competing with each other to control the enviro setting.

I’m about to start introducing CO2 into the room and running sealed - not sure what the idea setting would be on the fan controller - I do want to refresh the air in the room periodically so was thinking setting the fan in a timer setting to come on for a few mins every hour to change out the air in the room

I’m rambling…. Tell me how you roll!

Hows this working? Your in a room or a tent in a sealed room or what situation? If you are running sealed you need to think about removing humidity with a dehuey, if your running ac this might work as well. Everytime you're watering your adding water to your air which has to go somewhere in the end.

Growing in a 4x8x7 room / think I’ve got it to the point where it’s nicely sealed up. Plan to pick up a dehu soon, but this run will be during the winter in Canada where exterior temps can be in the -40s C. So I don’t need to worry about high temps or humidity when I run during the winter - figure that wil work nicely with a CO2 sealed room set up.

The AC infinity controller is killer - wondering if anyone else is using it in a CO2-enriched set up

It won't be sealed with that AC Infinity running. It will just exhaust the co2 out of the room. Where does it exhaust to? What do you have for intake?

Yup I am aware that if I exhaust the air in the room the CO2 goes with it.. Right now I’m running sealed during the day, exhaust fan set to only trigger during times when light are off.

Someone got it in my head that even in a sealed CO2 enriched room I should be changing out the air every once in a while - maybe that’s garbage lol - set me straight!

It depends. You can run completely sealed with Aircon/dehuey and CO2 tanks. If you use burners for CO2 you'd need to renew the air a bit to get oxygen for burning or you run risk of carbomonoxide.

How is humidity working out for you now with no extraction daytime?
When your running sealed you need to deal with temps and humidity in some way. Temps can be fine from running in a cold winter but humidity; any water you put in a pot is going to evaporate thru transpiration; you'll need to renew the air or run a serious dehuey or your walls are dripping, mold etc. Maybe transpiration is so low in early days that you can manage the humidity by extracting only night time but as they grow bigger and thirstier you'll run into probs.

If you have perfect control of your equipment you can extract til youre relatively dry, then dose CO2 until it's too humid again and maybe make it work. You'll wanna look into a controller or something. Or just run a dehuey and and run completely sealed but you gotta size the dehumidifier for how much water your plants consume daily.

I've bought a couple of their newer controllers and love 'em. It's what their first model should have been. Just wish it was Wifi instead of bluetooth and if they had an open API that would be even better for integration/home automation, etc.

I also use one now for my drying tent since I can dial it in so well. That plus an Inkbird to run the humidifier in the room when I need to raise humidity like a winter run requires.

I've been hesitating but ordered one tonight. I'd been holding off while trying to figure out my exhaust (T6) and intake (S6) situation with balancing. Today I finally cracked it by putting two layers of 'cloth filter' over the intake opening which cut down the draw enough to create negative pressure in the tent when running both at the same speed.

I did contact AC Infinity (BTW really nice people) to ask about a controller that could run two fans but with different speed settings for each of the automations, so I could run my fans together without the positive pressure problem. The person I talked to DID say the engineering people would like the input and the requests for future development and sounded sincere with several other back and forths about it.

That said, with my cloth intake filter in place and my pressure sorted I jumped on the 67. Really looking forward to being able to maintain a lower speed that's not 'off.' which has been allowing odor to leak from the tent. Also looking forward to being able to adjust how the fan ratchets up and down for speeds for more even control. A graph of my temps shows that the current T6 controller is good to keep the temps within ~5f or less degrees of what I want (one degree above and four degrees under).

Looking forward to dialing in the 'Transition Settings' so I can have the movement between temps a little smoother. Also looking forward to a bluetooth programmability feature, but am somewhat surprised that there's no WIFI monitoring at least. My cheappo 30$ therm/hygro is BT/Wifi and I like that I can check it from basically anywhere in the world. Maybe the next round if we ask nicely.

Will add a Inkbird for humidity sometime this winter too.

I’ve have my ac fan set to kick in when the temps hit 87, my CO2 tank is in a regular connected to an Inkbird CO2 controller - the fan runs for a handful of seconds every 10 mins or so to bring the temps back down, it only pulls down the CO2 to 1100 or so, I Mai rain between 1100-1500 PPMs, happy with that I think.
I do plan to pick up at decent dehumidifier, will pull the trigger when I need to. I live in Canada with seriously cold winters lol at times it was hard last year to keep humidity above 50 with two humidifiers running in the room, which is a conditioned space in my detached garage. Right now the humidity stays stable around 53%, controlled by an inkbird as well. Also had my oil heater kicking on during lights. So really, running sealed might be absolutely perfect for my set up - time will tell.. haha
I hear ya tho - will need to have my dehumidifier and a/c in place if I plan to run sealed during the warmer months

I really want a wifi upgrade as well, but I’m happy with Bluetooth for the time being, I’ll take what I can get lol

You’ll love a T6 on a controller 67 - the ‘automations’ give you a huge degree of control. I was also excited to incorporate ‘transition’ settings as well, but have found it a bit challenging when trying to sync up how the fan controller operates with my inkbirds so that they don’t compete with each other to control the room - the ac controller gives you basically unlimited ability to add settings and schedules but you’re limited to day/night (2 settings) on the inkbirds, so have taken out my transition automations for now - this is one of the reasons I wanted to hear what other people are doing, maybe get some new ideas.

ive found the customer support to be really good as well / super fast responses and they do seem to genuinely want the feedback - I had questions about some of the automation setting, the care agent took the info and then a couple days later had a response from one of their developers, it was great, what’s more is they wanted to discuss the topic further with me to see what could be improved - I was honestly surprised lol.

I want a master controller from ac lol like the whole deal - temp, humidity, CO2, light levels lol -I’d bet they could deliver it

I really want a wifi upgrade as well, but I’m happy with Bluetooth for the time being, I’ll take what I can get lol

So for me, I'm not using any AC or CO2, which will make things easier. I have to options, to intake from the room where my tent sits (our boiler room), which tends to sit at 77-79f when the room is at rest and up to about 83-85 when the boiler is on. Never really gets beyond that, but we're just entering heat' season. I can also take air from the space outside the boiler room, which is an fairly open basement-like storage space/ceramics studio & music room/practice space. Temperature resides in the 60's in that space throughout the winter (though I can turn the temp up on that zone as needed too). So it will be more about figuring out what the good air source will be during a time period. it's literally a difference of about 6' for the options.

I'll have an inkbird for humidity to add as needed so fussing with the humidity control will be the issue, though probably more on the 'humidity gets too much' side because I'll just not use the ACI controller for the lower end side of the humidity.

That’s great that you have a choice of intake air temps - you’ll have to just try them both and see what works best. I’d lean towards the cooler air tho, gives you more to work with.
Id leave the inkbird to control humidity independently basically, and then set the ac infinity controller to trigger on high temp limit of your choosing, at a fan speed of maybe 6, then set a ‘min fan speed’ to whatever the max speed is that will keep the whole deal on point. The inkbird should be able to keep humidity on point by itself, as long as you aren’t running the fan full out all the time.

you can still set a high humidity limit setting on the ac controller automation, but I have mine high enough from my inkbird setting that it won’t regularly trigger the fan

Most likely what I'll do. I've been trying to keep my tent ~82-83f during lights on. With the standard 'smart controller' that comes with the T6, and the S6 pulling in where it should match that point is speed setting 6. That's the point where it hits it's upper limit, ratchets back down to zero, then within a few minutes ratchets back up.

It nets me a temp graph that looks like this during the lights on:



Pulling cooler air would just mean setting my fan speeds slower so that it allows the lights (3x HLG 225's) more time to heat the air. Though I'd like to chop some of those peaks off the graph (those are points where the boiler has kicked on to heat water then shut back down). Once we're using more heat, the graph will certainly skew to the warmer side of that.

Just learning it all. So far im pretty amazed.

This kind of data is what I like - my only critique would me that it would nice to be able to change the setting to take readings every 10 seconds or so - the data points on the chart go to 1 minute intervals when you look at the Hour view. My fan comes on and runs for less than a minute so even if it gave me info on how long the fan runs each time it’s triggered would be helpful. But this is just super picky lol on the whole I freaking love how the data is displayed, it’s a huuuge help in getting your room on point

Yes. Also, it would be worth having some smoothing to the data visuals. Mine is from the cheap bluetooth/Wifi unit that hangs in my grow, and I'm interested to see how the ACI app compares (though it's a bummer I can't look at it if I'm not in BT range. What looks like a big spike or two in mine is really a degree or two difference along the way.

The 67 can't show up fast enough for me...now with the temps lowering My T6 fan wants to sit in a zone right now where it's not triggering on and letting odor escape the tent and in the late afternoon there were some spikes here and there in both directions as things in the room where the tent is had lower humidity & lower temperatures that having more sophisticated automation would have smoothed.



Look at the temp crash around 5pm...that could have been sorted with better functionality. You can also tell that this is the last day of the watering cycle for me. When my 'bags of soil' are full of water the RH is consistently in the 46-54% range. That most of the day was averaging 42% tells me that I could have watered last night (waiting until this morning, and I back up to a way smoother 47%.

I downloaded the app and I'm just waiting for it to show up on my desk at work. Amazon got it delivered in less than 24 hours. On the other hand, I can't make the same claim for mail services here at work, unfortunately.

I had gotten into kind of a 'zone' at home with the tent that it was all sorted for the past few weeks but now cooler weather is monkey-wrenching my setup (minimally). It's cooled off the environment outside the tent, but that's also a little unsettled because our boiler is now kicking on a bit more frequently. If I grab my air from outside the boiler room it will be more consistent but that air will also be cooler than it is right now, so it's a trade off. Using the T6 with 67 will help me because I can dial in airflow to use my lights to heat the tent more effectively.

And yes, the devil's in the details and I'm a detail obsesser.
