AC options

Ok, this time of year I am just fine growing. I put an inline fan on my AC line going into grow room where the tent is. An keep temps 60-68 in the room and 68-75 in the tent. That’s fine and dandy when it’s hot out and the central AC is running. This fall when the heat kicks on is when i’ll have issues. Looking for a stand alone AC unit that goes to that room. Cannot put a condenser outside. The room is 4x7x8 that I want to make a sealed off grow room in the future. I do vent outside with my exhaust from the grow room. I have thought about mini split units but the condenser would have to go in the attic. Not sure if that is doable. I don’t want to drill more holes into the outdoor walls than needed and these portable AC units don’t seem dependable enough. I have my attic available for any AC unit needs. Do I have any options?

Man putting a condenser in a hot confined space would be a bad idea.

With your stated limitations a portable will be your absolute best solution IMO. I would go with a single hose unit so it's not pulling cold outdoor air over it's condenser coil in the winter. That will likely cause it to freeze up the evaporator coil.

A window shaker is not an option as when it's cold outside it will freeze up the evap coil.

Whatever you do, avoid venting warm humid air onto the cold attic, thats a recipe for black mold.
