AC unit in bedroom.

Hello fellow rollitup members,

I'm thinking of getting an AC unit for my bedroom as I can't go into loft or out the window to vent out my air (yes I know about recycled air being a big no no). Threw summer its was fine (my first ever grow) as I could have the window open, dehumidifier in tent and I managed to bring the humidity down to the 40s which I need the ability to do so however in winter its a different ballgame. Can anyone recommend what options are available to me this would be greatly appreciated

My temp is around 70 (recently invested in a tent heater) but drops to 65 when lights out and my humidity goes up also which I don't think Is ideal. Currently I've a dehumidifier in the tent, which doesn't really do much, 2x fans and an extractor fan - any ideas?

Cheers,

Lamundo

70 is already pretty low temp for light on, especially if you're using LEDs to grow.

What kind of dehumidifier do you have? It sounds like you could use a bigger one.

Hi Radical Ross, tbh its usually lower and ive ran into alot if problems on this one, but I'm learning as I go along. Im using a small thing, please see attached photos.

I've just order a 80w 2ft tubular heater - do you think that'll help?

What kind of temps am I aiming for 80f 75f lights out?

Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Lamundo

Are you running LED lights? Cannabis likes to be pretty warm under those, you'd be fine up to mid-80's. I'm not sure if I'd buy heating equipment to get from 75 to 85 though, it's more that it's nice to have some wiggle room to not have to break the bank for the AC.

Yeah that's a tiny little dehu, I'm surprised that does much at all. If you've got the budget for it, $200-300 will get you into a workable dehumidifier that can actually keep up with the humidity in your tent.

Yeah, ive got mars hydro ts1000 on the go pal.

What would you recommend for the heating if not a heater? as I said initially im OK in the summer but winter its freezing here and im worried that I may run into more problems moving forward because of this. Ive already bought that 80w tubular heater so I might as well throw that in there.

Yeah, its tidy init doesn't really help much but as you can see I've not much room to work with 2x3 ft. When it comes to drying ill definatly need a dehumidifier in there - right?

I remember last run, I needed to get down to 40-50% humidity and this aint going to happen with what I've got at the moment - so looking like im going to have to invest in a bigger one

Many thanks,
