Accidentally squished COB and Driver Question

Quick question, in my diy build today I accidentally squished a cob, wasn't paying attention and I felt it give a little under my fingers when I was cleaning off some thermal paste.

Can see a slight impression on the cob. Odds on it will burn out add short the series?

Also I'm hacking up Mars Hydro type light and it has 3x 570ma 65-90v drivers.

Should be able to run 2x CXB2530 on each driver at 570ma right? Should give me around 120par watts?

You won't know until you test it. Maybe just some of the diode strings are broken.

Yes you can run them. You would have ~25 watts per 2530 so a total of 150 watts running at around 46% efficient I think. Meaning you would have ~80 watts of light watts and ~69.5 of heat.

Let me know if my math off.

Thanks for the confirmation and advise.

Good news..... It runs

6 cobs running on three drivers (2 cobs on each driver)

Bad news... One I squished worked for a while maybe an hour but burnt to a crisp so need another (better get spares)

Also running (on different Mars hydro type thing) 2 cobs (seperate drivers) at 35v @ 1300mA which should be pumping out like 85-90 watts total.

Nice to see stuff that's not glowing purple!

To get watts you take your forward voltage, in this case 36, and multiply by your output current(570ma). 36 X 0.570 = ~25. You can google search efficiency sheets to find out how many lumens per watt/efficiency % at your output.
