add sand?

Hi all I currently have one plant in a 2.25 gallon pot. Im transferring it today into a 5-6 gallon pot. my question is. Is fox farm ok with the drainage? or should i add a bit of sand to the soil? if so how much sand should I add to my 2 cubic feet of Fox farm soil im gonna mix up with lime.

why are you choosing sand over perlite?

I really am not. Ill go with perlite . Just sand was the first thing that popped in my head ... how much perlite should I add to the Fox farm potting soil??

Mix about a 1/4 perlite to 3/4 soil. It will really help with not having to worry about over watering and give the roots plenty of oxygen.

some people do 50/50 i think that is just a waste of perlite.
