Adding rooting hormone to seedling soil?

Just curious if anyone has ever tried adding a little rooting hormone powder to the soil for germinated seedlings? Would it maybe help promoting root growth for a seedling and speeding up the process?

Ive got 4 fem seeds that are nearly sprouting. Im thinking about possibly adding in a pinch to my mixture, maybe 2 of the 4 even. Im a little leary to the possiblilty of losing these babies though, as they are nice feminized seeds. Thoughts?...

Read this .pdf they did an experiment where they sprinkled rooting hormone on seeds before watering. I don't know about rooting hormone after they've sprouted but apparently rooting hormone does help the success rate of seed germination. I would say it won't hurt to throw a little pinch in the soil, it chould help form a strong root system early in the seedling's life. Though you shouldn't claim it as a success until actual scientific experimentation has been performed.

It might up the over all success rate of plant germ but at what cost? If your intention is to find the strongest most virile plant in order to make it your mother plant then this would be counter productive.

Sweet lady mary jane is a strong girl, and if her seeds dont grow its because the plant is a failure.
