Hello everyone. I'd like to hear your thoughts on Advanced Nutrients in Promix. I hear a lot of mixed reviews about the use. Some guys use it full strength, some guys half strength, some every other watering. Personally I've been at 1/4-1/3 strength every watering. Some guys say not to use it at all. Any input is appreciated! I've had excellent turn out but just wondering if I could squeeze anymore out of it by adding more.
This all depends on the size of your plants and the strains you are running, and what type of media you are using whether it be hydro, drain to waste or dwc. I use drain to waste in coco and go close to full strength on everything except the basis. Feed water feed schedule and flush once a month on average sometimes every few weeks if theres an issue but usually everything is good to grow. I have never burned any plants using AN once the plants are well established it comes in the perfect ratios I like to run and havent had any issues in a long time. People with problems or issues with AN usually either dont know what they are doing, or dont apply the nutrient correctly or whatever the case may be. I get killer yields and results using their lineup and have nothing bad to say whatsoever. Only thing I don't like is the PH Perfect bases. If you dont have an RO dont even use them, as PH will still need to be adjusted. I like the regular bases that I can play with and adjust myself and move my ppm and ph where I want them to be depending on week, variety and what I am trying to do.
AN is now pushing out an entire strain specific feeding chart that is producing some killer results. I just got an entire lineup and specified feeding chart from them to test and provide samples and my results along with many of the other big growers they have good relationships with, in both Canada and the U.S. and soon as everything is set will be releasing it to the public.
I run coco and have heavy feeding varieties that I run 1/2 strength veg and up to 3/4 strength in bloom. Additives are almost always at full stength in bloom depending on which ones I am using and what week it is. There are guys getting 3 lbs per light in coco right now. (I am not quite there yet, I have been averaging around 2.25 to 2.5 lbs per light using their entire lineup).
But you can still get good results using their basic lineup of: Base Nutrient, B52, Big Bud and Overdrive. (Cal mag and Bene/Microbes) of your choosing. But you wont be hitting the huge numbers alot of these big growers are getting unless you use all of their lineup and tweak it to your strains which takes time.
Once this new feeding chart and nutrient come out there will be alot of people jumping on this band wagon and getting killer yields. I have seen first hand 12 light runs yielding over 35 pounds using coco in 10 gallon pots all hand fed, producing some potent and huge yields. I recently just switched back to AN after going back to my old recipes focusing on quality but I missed the big yields and huge buds so I went back and I havent looked back since. To me in my opinion overall regardless of price they do have some of the best complete nutrient lineups available. And the only other company I can get over 2-2.5 lbs per light using was green planet nutrients. I know many a people using that nutrient line hitting 3 lbs per light of premium meds.
